Euljiro 3-ga bar with board games and Malibu Orange: Yahwa Honsul Bar

Solo drinking bars are so hot right now, right? So I went to check out Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro branch, a Euljiro cocktail spot that's great for a solo bar run. Let's get right into the post :)

Where is Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro, and what are its hours?

Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro is on the 2nd floor of 40 Mareunnae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station Exit 9 — a solo-drinking bar in Euljiro. It's open weekdays 8:00pm–4:00am and weekends 7:00pm–4:00am, and it's group-friendly with wifi available.

It says parking is available, but after visiting I'd recommend public transit over driving since it's tucked in an alley :)

Walking a bit from Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station, there's a big sign for Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro on the 2nd floor of the building! I hadn't checked the opening time so it wasn't open when I first got there — I waited at a nearby café and came back :)

Inside Yahwa Honsul Bar: seating that fills up even on a weekday

Inside Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro there are two kinds of tables! There are small tables for a couple of people, and one long main table. It's set up in a way that's easy to chat with the person next to or across from you, which makes it a great pick for a Euljiro solo-drinking bar :)

It opens at 8pm, but when I got there around 8:30pm it was already full even though it was a weekday! If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend getting there right at opening.

How ordering works and what's on the menu

There's a wide range of cocktails, and the signature menu item is the Yahwa cocktail! It's the signature cocktail of Yahwa Honsul Bar. Besides that there are many kinds of cocktails and highballs, plus non-alcoholic options :) I ordered 4 glasses of Malibu Orange for ₩60,000!

How the Malibu Orange and the free snacks tasted

The default snacks are salty chicken-leg-shaped crackers and sea salt chocolate! The sea salt chocolate is also on the salty side, so it went really well with the sweet cocktails.

My ordered Malibu Orange from this Euljiro solo-drinking bar arrived! It's low in alcohol and orange-juice based, so it's easy to approach even for first-time cocktail drinkers. It's a great menu item for women to enjoy, so I recommend it.

Card games, a guestbook and board games on every table

Every table at Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro has things like the alligator game and a guestbook, so you can play games and leave a record while you're there! Flipping through the guestbook I saw doodles and all kinds of entries, and it was surprisingly fun, so I left a little doodle of my own too haha.

And there are various card games so you can chat comfortably with the people next to you — mostly 'balance game' and 'image game' style cards that are great conversation starters, so it's easy to naturally start talking with whoever's sitting beside you! The image game was especially fun, so I recommend it.

When I visited, there were a lot of men in their 30s, mostly people who work in the Euljiro area! Chatting naturally and playing the image game made for a pretty enjoyable drinking session.

At the tables further inside there were phone chargers and lens cases, lens cleaning solution, and even board games like Halli Galli, so you could have a really fun time drinking! It's the first time I've seen a solo-drinking bar with board games, so it seems like the perfect spot to head to in Euljiro, right?
