Jongno theater with a cheeky interactive comedy: Nine Theater
In short
Nine Theater (나인 씨어터) is a theater in Jongno, Seoul, staging the adults-only comedy Suspicious PT Shop. I watched from special-seat Row B, joined the pre-show question event, and explored the gym-themed photo zones. Verdict: a lively pick for adults who enjoy getting involved.

I heard there was a super-hot romantic comedy play in Daehangno these days, so off I went to see Suspicious PT Shop. It was my first comedy play, so my expectations were sky-high!
Suspicious PT Shop Running time: about 80 minutes

The weather is finally starting to cool down, so I think fall is here! The sky looks absolutely unreal (p) ☁️🫧

Getting to Nine Theater and parking
The show is playing in the Nine Theater building. There is no separate parking lot, so we drove around and around looking for an available spot at a nearby paid lot 🥲

Let’s head down to Basement Level 1 of Nine Theater.

There are lots of big signs, so it is easy to find your way.

Hair salon and gym-themed photo zones
Apparently, Suspicious PT Shop is a follow-up series to a play called Suspicious Hair Salon? That is why there was a hair-salon-themed photo zone.

Since the PT shop is the concept, there were cool photo displays of super-fit women like this ⭐️

These are photos of the actual cast >..<

Collecting tickets and showtimes
After picking up our tickets at the box office, we waited in the lounge! You can book online through Naver, Nol Ticket, or Coupang. Regular seats (Rows C–F) are ₩69,000 and special seats (Rows A–B) are ₩99,000. Shows are at 19:00 on Monday, Thursday, and Friday; 15:00 and 18:00 on Saturday; and 15:00 or 18:00 every other week on Sunday. There are no shows every Tuesday and Wednesday!

There is even a coffee machine and a prize-draw slip in the lounge, so naturally, I entered the draw.

The restroom is inside too, so everyone, make sure you go before the show ~

Lots of people were taking photos in the gym-themed photo zone too 😛

Take plenty of photos with friends, your partner, and make lots of memories!

Special-seat Row B and that day’s cast
Our seats were B10 and B11, the special seats. It was ₩99,000 x 2, and minors are not admitted.

On the day I visited, the four performers were Harin as trainer Sujin, Isu as PT shop director Seonghui, Tami as Junsu, and Haeil as Hyeokjin.

Entry starts 20 minutes before the show, so we went in early. The set really is a gym PT zone through and through.

Suspicious PT Shop plot and viewing notes
The story begins when Seonghui, a former Musclemania Figure Grand Prix champion, and skilled trainer Sujin join forces to open a neighborhood PT shop. Then beginner members Hyeokjin and Junsu, who had only been doing home workouts, come to the shop to learn how to exercise properly. Once the two male members meet the two female trainers, all kinds of unexpected situations unfold. Overall, you can enjoy the actors’ lively performances and scenes that turn a variety of mishaps into comedy!
🚫 It goes without saying, but filming or recording is absolutely not allowed during the play 🚫 You may take photos only during the final curtain call, when the actors pose for you!

Pre-show audience participation event
Before the play starts, Haeil, who plays Hyeokjin, exchanges questions with the audience and gives out gifts, loosening up the initially stiff atmosphere with humor. What the audience says here carries into the middle of the play (spoiler haha). Join in lots and grab a gift!

And there was even a fireworks festival on the way home after the play ☺️ It was such a fun day.
Overall review
I noticed lots of close friends, couples, and married couples visiting for a date! It is a comic, sexy play with a lot of male fantasy in it rather than female fantasy, so I think men will especially enjoy it ^__^* It is a play, but it felt like I had watched stand-up comedy. Especially if you sit in Row A, the actors will throw lots of questions your way, so shy people should avoid Row A!
