I found this place while searching for somewhere different.

So today, I visited a Daehangno board game café in Hyehwa that is perfect for groups! It is Hero Board Game Cafe (히어로보드게임카페)!!~!!

It is just 105 m from Exit 2 of Hyehwa Station, so it was really easy to find. If you are looking for a group-friendly board game café in Hyehwa and Daehangno, this is absolutely it. True to its claim of being a place for families, couples, and friends alike,

the multi-play-zone concept was so appealing. There were board games, pool, murder mystery games, and arcade games all in one place, so I was happily wondering what to do first.

Pool and snacks after board games

As soon as I walked in and saw all the different board games on display, I was already excited. This time, we made the most of the board games and pool and ordered blueberry bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and fries! 🎲

We had the blueberry bingsu, and it was delicious. The cool, tangy shaved ice felt like it blew the heat away the moment I took a bite. This was truly what a proper group-friendly board game café in Hyehwa and Daehangno is all about! The fries were tasty too.

The crispy fries were perfect as a snack, and I kept reaching for them while playing. There was so much to do that it was fun. When we got tired of board games, we moved on to pool, and with the arcade games too, there was no time to get bored.

Being able to have this much fun in one place felt like a huge advantage. It is officially approved as a group-friendly Hyehwa and Daehangno board game café!!~!! They even have a Hero-exclusive Crime Scene game, so I definitely want to try that next time. The murder mystery game also seems like it would be fun to assign roles and investigate with friends, so I am determined to take it on on my next visit.

Rates and free facilities

They even give out free caramel popcorn as an opening event, so it seems worth checking before you visit. Another big plus was that pool, Nintendo, and arcade games can all be used for free. At ₩3,000 for one weekday hour and ₩2,000 on the teen plan, it felt affordable enough to visit often.

The unlimited pass is also available for ₩5,000, which felt like a totally worthwhile option for anyone who wants to play for a long time. Being able to enjoy yourself to the fullest without worrying about time was especially appealing.

It was also nice that they have a range of food, including tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), chicken, and churros, so you can have something filling if you get hungry while gaming. You can order and eat right away when hunger strikes, which is convenient since there is no need to go outside separately.

A great place for groups on rainy days

It really was exactly the kind of place where the laughter does not stop, whoever you come with. It is great for going as a group with friends and splitting into teams for games, or for spending relaxed time with family.
