Suwon family magic show in a 60-seat theater: Magic & Joy
In short
Mirinae Magic Theater Magic & Joy Gwanggyo is a family magic show in Suwon, Gyeonggi. In its 60-seat theater, we watched dove and balloon tricks up close while our child joined the stage experience and photo time. A great pick for families who enjoy taking part in the magic.

Every weekend, I used to wonder what to do with my child and what would stay in their memories. Mirinae Magic Theater Magic & Joy Gwanggyo (미리내 마술극단 매직앤조이 광교) was one of the children’s shows in Suwon that we reserved and tried.
This is a family magic performance for children in a 60-seat small theater, so you can see fun, amazing tricks right in front of you. It is an interactive magic show that even elementary-school children would enjoy, and I recommend it for adults too if they simply love magic ✔️

Mirinae Magic Theater Magic & Joy Gwanggyo is set up on the 10th floor of Galleria Department Store Gwanggyo in Suwon, right beside CGV. We reserved in advance through Naver Booking and arrived for our showtime! To reserve, search Naver for Suwon performances, find Children’s Magic Show (Gwanggyo), and book through Naver.

If you park at Galleria Department Store Gwanggyo, you can receive up to three hours of free parking—just keep this in mind. After the show, you need to show your ticket separately to the CGV staff next to the theater to register the parking, so hold onto your admission ticket until the performance ends.
Inside the theater and getting ready before entry

It is not huge inside, but there were cute photo zones and a separate little performance hall. We booked for two adults and one child. Children can buy a ticket with a magic kit included, so we chose that set and they gave us the magic kit separately when we entered!

I definitely recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before the show begins. We booked the 2 PM weekend slot and got there around 1:50 PM in advance..!

Entry opens 15 minutes before the show. Tell them your name, and they check the mobile reservation and give you tickets like this. We came for our child, but both my husband and I like magic too, so we had high expectations for Mirinae Magic Theater ><

The theater is not very large, but that is the advantage of this 60-seat venue: unlike a big production, you can see the magic up close ⭐️
A 50-minute magic show that amazed children and adults alike

Right at 2 PM, the curtain opened and the magician finally appeared!!! His energetic greeting and pleasant first impression made me even more excited for the show ^^
From the very beginning, he showed one trick after another. He put a carefully folded paper bird into a book, and a real dove came out. I opened my eyes wide and deliberately watched closely just in case, but I still wondered where it had really come from.. It was amazing, and our child loved it, but my husband and I were just as amazed, haha.

In between tricks, the children could come up one by one to check things for themselves and try them out. There was also photo time on stage, which they seemed to really love ^^

One of the most amazing and fun tricks was the balloon magic show. The balloon was clearly smooth, with no tape or anything on it, but a rod simply passed through it ㅠㅠ Because we could see the magician’s hand movements from so close, there were so many moments that made me think, how on earth did he do that? Haha. It was also great for children to get naturally absorbed in the show while wondering about the principles behind the tricks 👍🏻
They also handed out a magic book to each child. Open it from the left and it is blank; open it from the right and pictures appear. Our child was so excited, saying they would show it to their friends and do magic for them too, haha.

The performance runs for 50 minutes, but even the adults enjoyed it so much that we did not notice the time passing at Mirinae Magic Theater Magic & Joy Gwanggyo. Depending on the show, there are audience-participation and hands-on elements, so it suits children who prefer responding and joining in rather than simply sitting and watching!

On the way out after the show, there was also photo time with the magician at the photo zone, so we got our proof photos too 📷
