My close friend and I made a last-minute dinner plan in Yeongdeungpo! Trying to figure out where to go, since this friend hasn't been to many izakayas, I looked for a place nearby with good side dishes and a nice atmosphere!

Not far from Yeongdeungpo Station, I found a place that really looks like a bar from the enlightenment era, and the food is supposed to be great too!! Rushed right over, and the result was...! ★Total satisfaction★

Let me introduce "Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch." It's located within 3 minutes' walk from Yeongdeungpo Times Square, and about 10 minutes from Yeongdeungpo Station.

The exterior already gives off that enlightenment-era bar feel, so I thought, wow, pretty~ but the inside was even prettier, I was so surprised...!

Opening the door feels like stepping into another world?

U-shaped bar seats downstairs, group rooms upstairs

Once you walk into Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch, the bar seats are arranged in a U-shape.

Even these little decorations have such an antique feel! Such pretty spaces, it was a real visual treat!

Going further inside, there are table seats like these, and there's also seating on the 2nd floor.

Inside the 2nd floor...! The weight the wood tones give, and that antique feel just keeps going!

There are a few rooms for groups, so you can spend time privately!

QR menu, the cabbage otoshi and an Earl Grey highball

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch has a wide range of dishes and drinks prepared (I only captured the menu). You can view the menu by scanning the QR code near your seat.

The basic otoshi (small starter dish) is cabbage + shiotare (salt sauce). Salty and appetizing, such a good way to start light!

My friend can't drink much, so she ordered the Earl Grey highball! She said it barely tasted like alcohol and was mild, which was nice~ As for me, of course, soju!! They offered to pour me a glass, so I grabbed it right away!🤗🤗

The bar seats are arranged around an open kitchen, so you can watch the cooking happen. They cook fresh ingredients directly over high heat!!

Chicken skewers 15,000 won and beef tataki 29,000 won

The first thing we ordered was the chicken skewers!! (₩15,000) Wow, they're really properly grilled over high heat, with that smoky flavor nailed too.. and the chicken was tender and full of juice, so it disappeared in no time, so freaking good...🤤🤤🤤

Next, we ordered the beef tataki! (₩29,000) Chewy yet tender, with the meaty flavor mixing with the smoky char, it was so delicious! Pairing it with the slightly bitter wasabi and radish sprouts especially worked really well together. This side dish paired amazingly with both soju and highball too🫶🫶

It was truly a fun time in such a romantic space!! Nani Byeolgwan is said to be around 7 years old, and it was such a clean, well-managed space and a genuinely great restaurant! Especially from the menu, definitely order the chicken skewers💕💕

Is Nani Byeolgwan good for a date or an after-work drink?

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is near Yeongdeungpo Times Square, so it would be great to come here to wrap up a date, and it's also perfect as an izakaya for dinner with a drink on the side...🧡🩷❤️ Totally recommend it when you're making plans or meeting someone nearby.
