Grilled meat fajita platter for two at Mangwon Market: Taco Dot
In short
Taco Dot Mangwon Market Main Branch is a Mexican restaurant tucked in an alley near Mangwon Market in Mapo, Seoul, about 3-4 minutes' walk from Exit 2 of Mangwon Station. Two women ordered a single Grilled Meat Fajita Platter for dinner and got a generous pile of pork neck, jerk chicken, shrimp, and carnitas with unlimited tortilla and sauce refills, leaving stuffed with a bit still left over. One platter is plenty for two — a solid Mexican food spot in Mangwon-dong.

I've been craving Mexican food like tacos and fajitas lately, so today's story is about my visit to Taco Dot Mangwon Market Main Branch, near Mangwon Market.

Mangwon-dong is far from my place... but I was looking forward to healing on the subway ride and then eating delicious Mexican food 🥹
Getting to Taco Dot Mangwon Market Main Branch from Mangwon Station

It's close to Mangwon Station and easy to combine with a trip to Mangwon Market, so it's a good spot for a weekend date or a food tour in Mangwon-dong.

It's about a 3-4 minute walk from Exit 2 of Mangwon Station. Walk toward Mangwon Market and turn into the alley, and you'll find it without much trouble. If you're driving, there are public parking lots nearby — Mangwon Public Parking Lot and Mangwon 1-2 Public Parking Lot are about a 3-minute walk away!
It's also close to that famous French toast kiosk (featured on TV) that I visited on my own dime (#내돈내산), so I'd recommend pairing the two as a course.

Is there a wait on weekend evenings?
I visited in the evening, and as expected for a popular spot at Mangwon Market, there was a wait on the weekend! You can do remote waiting through Catch Table and browse Mangwon Market while you wait.
Menu

Looking at the menu, there were so many things that looked delicious that I spent a long time deciding what to get haha. There's quite a variety of tacos, plus fajitas, enchiladas, and even chimichanga, so it wasn't easy for two people to pick just one thing.

Not many places serve chimichanga, but this place has it, plus a wide range of tacos — pulled pork, carnitas, mango shrimp, Nashville hot chicken and more — which made it even harder to decide!!!

What comes with the Grilled Meat Fajita Platter
After all that deliberation, we ordered the Grilled Meat Fajita Platter. Pork neck, jerk chicken, shrimp, carnitas. There's a really generous amount of meat.

Tortillas, coleslaw.

And it comes with 4 kinds of sauce and cilantro. As a cilantro lover, I really appreciate it when they include cilantro like this ㅠㅜ.

Was the portion enough for two women?
I was a little surprised by how much meat there was as soon as it arrived haha. Usually when something is sold as a serving for two, it's sometimes just right or even a bit lacking for two women, but here it was the opposite. There's really a ton of meat ㄷㄷ — pork neck, jerk chicken, carnitas, and shrimp — so instead of eating just one kind of meat over and over, it was fun to pick and choose between types.

The real fun of a fajita platter is wrapping up whatever you like in a tortilla >_< I'd put on one kind of meat, add coleslaw and sauce, then try one with shrimp on top. Even with the same ingredients, mixing in different sauces changed the flavor a bit each time, so I kept reaching for more.

Unlimited tortilla and sauce refills
And the tortillas and sauces are unlimited refills. It was great being able to ask for more whenever we ran low on tortillas or wanted to dip a bit more sauce. There was no need to ration the tortillas or sauce — we could add as much as we wanted, which made it easy to eat generously right to the end.

Recommended as a Mexican food spot in Mangwon-dong
The two of us went and we really ate until we were stuffed haha. At first I thought a fajita would be just about right for two people, but as we kept eating, more meat kept coming and wrapping it all in tortillas filled us up faster than expected. We ended up full and still had a little left over. I'm not sure about people with bigger appetites, but for a typical pair of women, this felt like plenty to eat until full. It was also nice that with so many kinds of meat, ordering just one item still made for a pretty substantial meal! If you're craving Mexican food in Mangwon-dong, I highly recommend this place.
The fajita was so good that I think I'll go back to try other menu items too!!! Highly recommend as a Mangwon-dong restaurant ><
