Gongdeok brunch restaurant for cheesy ragu pasta: HEOD Gongdeok

Hey guys, it's Gildong 😎😎 This week was a total blur — I was moving house and then had to handle my grandmother's funeral, so I honestly don't even remember how the week went by;; But food posts can't wait^^

I once had such a good omurice at HEOD in Yeonnam-dong, and now HEOD has opened a branch in Gongdeok?? With all the moving chaos I wanted to eat something good and get even a moment of healing, so I booked HEOD, a Daeheung Station spot, and went :)

Where is HEOD Gongdeok and what are its hours?

HEOD Gongdeok is at 24 Gwangseong-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 1st floor, about 3–4 minutes on foot from Daeheung Station. Hours are daily 11:00–21:00, with a break time from 15:30 to 18:00.

I ran an errand near Mapo Station, headed toward Gongdeok Station, and walked into the entrance of the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail (경의선숲길).

I strolled slowly along the trail toward Daeheung Station, where HEOD is 🌿

I got so lost in the green forest trail that I walked right past HEOD and had to turn back haha

Does HEOD Gongdeok take groups and allow dogs?

Outside HEOD Gongdeok there was a sign saying wedding invitation gatherings, birthday gatherings, family gatherings, and group gatherings are all welcome. So I'm thinking of coming back here with my sisters for one last brunch before we all scatter haha

And this Daeheung Station brunch spot HEOD turned out to be dog-friendly too 🐶🌿

Now that the weather's cooling down, wouldn't it be lovely to walk a dog slowly along the forest trail, stop for brunch, and then walk the trail again afterward? >_<

Booking a window seat at HEOD Gongdeok on Naver

Since I booked ahead on Naver, I was given this gorgeous, super green window seat 💚 Isn't the atmosphere at HEOD just amazing!?!?

If you're vibing with someone or on a blind date, eating pasta at HEOD would probably be a 100% success rate hehe~~😍😍

What's on the brunch menu at HEOD Gongdeok?

True to its reputation as a Gongdeok brunch spot, HEOD Gongdeok had a wide menu — pasta, risotto, salad, toast, steak, gnocchi, and more.

After a lot of deliberation, I ordered the ragu pasta and a grapefruit tea^^

How does the cheesy ragu pasta taste, and is the portion big?

Ta-da~~~ My order arrived at this Daeheung Station brunch spot ✨✨ Sitting at the open window seat, it genuinely felt like eating in the middle of nature.

With soft sunlight streaming in, the atmosphere was even better,

and the ragu pasta's look and taste were even more impressive 👍🏻 There was so much cheese piled on top of the ragu pasta that there was even a layer of cheese underneath the noodles 🧡 When I twirled the noodles with my fork, the ragu sauce came up thick and clinging between every strand.

The tomato ragu sauce, the savory depth of the meat, plus the nutty richness of the cheese~~ It was so good I kept thinking, yep, HEOD really is a Daeheung Station brunch spot worth the name~~

Lately I've been to plenty of pasta places where one bowl leaves you wanting more, but HEOD's portion was generous — I felt completely full after just one plate. With plenty of sauce and a hearty amount of noodles, it really felt like a proper brunch meal^^

Is HEOD Gongdeok worth a visit?

I was so exhausted from moving prep and childcare, but having brunch at HEOD Gongdeok gave me this feeling of catching a little breather for once^^ I really got some proper healing.
