Whole lobster pasta at a Dunsan-dong western restaurant: Plate Dunsan

Today I'm sharing my review of Plate Dunsan Branch, where I had a really good pasta and pizza in Dunsan-dong. It's near Galleria Timeworld, so it's a convenient spot when you have plans in the area. This time I ordered two menu items I'd been curious about — the lobster pasta and the fire-grilled chapsteak pizza 🍝🍕

Where is Plate Dunsan, and how do parking and hours work?

Inside Plate Dunsan: private room and group seating

You see the restaurant right as you come up to the 2nd floor, and once inside, the space was bigger and cleaner than I expected. The interior has an overall modern yet warm feel, so it was comfortable to eat in 🌿

There are window seats, and beyond the regular tables there's also a private room and group seating. So it seemed great for a quiet meal for two, and also fine for visiting with a bigger group. Whenever I'm at a restaurant with this kind of clean atmosphere, I end up putting extra effort into food photos haha 📸

Lobster pasta, 19,900 won with a whole lobster on top

After ordering, the lobster pasta came out first 🦞🍝 It's ₩19,900. True to its name, a big whole lobster was sitting on top, so the visuals caught my eye the moment it arrived. With a whole lobster laid over the pasta, it was quite pretty for photos too.

They describe it as a premium pasta that delivers both flavor and visuals with a whole lobster on top, and seeing it in person, I got why the word lobster is right there in the menu name.

Eating the lobster meat together with the noodles, the distinctive seafood flavor added a lot and went really well with the pasta. I also liked that you get pasta and lobster together on a single plate 🦞💛

Fire-grilled chop steak pizza, 24,900 won with flat iron steak and arugula

The second thing we ordered was the fire-grilled chapsteak pizza 🍕 It's ₩24,900. It's described as a BBQ-style pizza topped with fire-grilled skirt steak and arugula, and having meat and arugula piled on top of the pizza gave it a bit of a different feel from a regular pizza.

With fire-grilled skirt steak on top especially, this is a menu item that would catch the eye of meat lovers 🥩🍕 Eating a slice with the meat and arugula together was a nice combo, and since it's so different from the pasta, ordering them together worked well for sharing between two people.

Is Plate Dunsan good for dates, gatherings and family meals?

Plate Dunsan Branch can accommodate groups and has a private room, so it seemed like a good spot not just for dates but also for get-togethers with friends or family meals 😊 The service overall felt comfortable too. They took care of everything from ordering through the meal, so there was nothing to worry about, and takeout, delivery, and reservations are all available.
