Parking information and exterior

Underground parking information

Mibundang Myeongji Branch, a pho restaurant in Myeongji, offers one hour of parking in the underground lot for the POSCO Complex 3 commercial building, so you can visit without worrying about parking. We came on a weekend evening, and there was plenty of space.

Commercial building exterior of Mibundang Myeongji Branch

Mibundang Myeongji Branch is on the commercial strip of The Sharp Myeongji First World Complex 3 in Myeongji International New City. The wood-based exterior and warm lighting made me think, “Oh, what kind of place is this?”—the sort of storefront that makes you turn around for another look. A little Japanese feeling, a little Vietnamese feeling~^^

There is a kiosk outside, where you choose your menu and pay in one go! We ordered the assorted fried platter for ₩8,500, two beef belly and brisket phos at ₩12,500 each, and a Sprite for ₩2,500.

Choosing the menu and the counter-seat interior

Mibundang Myeongji Branch menu

Vietnamese restaurants often have so many menu items that I get choice paralysis, but this simple menu was actually perfect~ haha. Really, truly good restaurants tend to keep it simple, right? There are five kinds of pho, while the sides are fairly varied—spring rolls, buffalo wings, shumai, and more—so they are great alongside pho. You can also choose between two beers not often found at regular shops: Saigon Beer and Hanoi Beer!^^

An all-counter-seat interior that is great for solo dining

Interior with counter seating

All~~ the seating is counter seating, making it ideal for dining alone.^^ The long corridor-like layout means there are quite a few seats. There are individual hooks on the wall too, which are handy for coats or bags.

Quiet counter seating

The biggest characteristic of Mibundang: a quiet, calm atmosphere~! It makes coming alone feel easy, and I loved being able to really focus on the food.^^

Semi-open kitchen

The semi-open kitchen also gave me extra peace of mind~^^

Generous beef toppings! Unlimited noodles, bean sprouts, and broth! A clean yet deep broth that you. just. fall. into.

Glass of Sprite with ice

We ordered Sprite, and I was so touched that it came in a big glass full of floating ice cubes, haha. The little details really change how satisfied you feel~*^^*

Ordered beef belly and brisket pho

Pho piled high with beef belly and brisket

My husband and I both ordered the beef belly and brisket pho. What is this visual~? So beautiful. haha. This is on another level from pho with just a few pieces of meat floating on top~ The bowl is heaped with beef belly and brisket as if they are wrapping around it, with finely sliced scallions and chili peppers in the middle. It looked incredibly appetizing.

Pho topped with beef belly and brisket

One spoonful of clear broth~ The moment it hit my mouth, the clean yet deeeep flavor made me gasp. Even without having had a drink, it felt like everything inside me had been refreshed. haha. I cannot even imagine how good this would be as a hangover cure.^^

Beef belly and brisket pho with clear broth

The thinly sliced beef belly had such a wonderfully chewy texture, with a deep savory flavor that grew as I chewed! The shredded brisket was also so tender and moist that it felt like, no, I cannot miss either the brisket or the beef belly! haha. Thank goodness there is a menu that lets you have both.^^

Beef belly and brisket toppings

The noodles were so chewy and bouncy too, without that annoying tendency to break midway. Unlimited noodle, broth, and bean sprout refills? Such a generous deal.

Chewy pho noodles

The portion is quite large, so if you want a change midway through, put noodles, meat, and onion into the small bowl provided, add hot sauce or hoisin sauce to your taste, then mix it all together. It feels like ordering a bowl of pho and getting an extra bowl of mixed noodles too, haha.

Assorted fried platter side dish

What comes with the assorted fried platter

We ordered the assorted fried platter as a side. It lets you enjoy every side dish at Mibundang at once. From sweet potato spring rolls stuffed full of sweet sweet-potato mousse, to scallop spring rolls with the ultimate crispy crunch, to savory buffalo wings, it is a satisfying lineup where none of the items is easy to pass up.

The potato-wrapped shrimp combines plump shrimp with fries. Dipped in the sauce, it felt like I could easily eat about 10 of these alone, haha.

Convenient parking, a quiet atmosphere where you can focus on the food, a kind owner, and above all, pho with deeply flavorful broth plus side dishes that were totally my taste—Mibundang Myeongji Branch, a Myeongji pho spot, satisfied me from A to Z!
