Where is Robatayaki Sodam Guro, and who came along
I went back to Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex Branch, close to both Exit 1 and Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station~~ Yep, went again haha. Last time it was with my old coworkers, and this time it was with my current coworkers plus an old coworker~ The industry's small, so even after switching jobs I keep running into the same people haha... truly a strange outsourcing saga.
Inside Robatayaki Sodam: window seats, curtain rooms and the datchi counter
Total Japanese izakaya vibes~~ I didn't realize there were seats further inside, but they had window seats, rooms, datchi counter, and regular seating all mixed together!!!
Since there were three of us, we booked a room seat — not fully enclosed, just curtains instead of a door, so it felt private without being stuffy!! I thought a room would be hot, but there was AC inside so it stayed cool!!
They also seem to run an event where if you guess 3.33 seconds exactly, you get ₩33,300 off haha how do you even hit that?
Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex station branch is great for skewers and grilled fish!!! If you sit at the datchi counter you can drink while watching the fresh ingredients haha

Robatayaki Sodam menu and prices
There seemed to be a slight price difference from the Naver menu, so I re-photographed the current prices!! It's an izakaya so the side dishes are a bit pricey, but everything looked delicious so... should we just order it all? I agonized so hard; my friend and I spent two hours before work just discussing the menu haha why do we always talk about food this much?

A free fried egg comes as a default side~~ It arrives on a super hot iron plate so you can cook it to your preferred doneness! Since there were three of us, they gave us three eggs haha. A little something to settle the stomach before drinking.
I'd been starving since three hours before I even left work, so I was scouting nearby restaurants haha then I asked my friend if her boyfriend was coming today and whether they wanted to eat this — coaxed her into it and ended up crashing their couple date haha. Turns out this is how you end up meeting up when friends start dating? Fun stuff. Thanks to them we got to order a wider variety, and even on a weekday I got to enjoy a cheerful glass of soju!!!
Butter-grilled shrimp, 8,500 won for eight shrimp
The mixed skewer platter already had 2 shrimp skewers, but we ordered the butter-grilled shrimp on top! 8 shrimp for ₩8,500, not bad? It had some kind of secret grilling sauce brushed on, that skewer-house umami — so good!! This place really is a skewer specialist.
I love shrimp haha, the shrimp skewers were so good I could eat 100 of them. Hehe.
Mixed skewer platter, 24,000 won: sliding the skewers off to share
Chicken skewers, chicken skin, bacon-tomato, ginkgo nuts and more — we pulled everything off the skewers to eat piece by piece, and it suddenly felt even more generous haha. Once off the skewer, it was easy to pick up one piece at a time as a side dish, and everything was grilled just right and tasted great.
Chicken skin skewers are so my style!! Every single skewer here was delicious!!
Yakisoba, 19,000 won: a sauce that isn't too sweet
And the yakisoba was great because it wasn't too sweet! The sauce makes or breaks yakisoba — too sweet or too salty and you get sick of it fast! Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex branch kept it not-too-sweet, and there was more noodle than I expected, so pretty decent portion!!
Right before the holiday, good food, a happy couple, and lots of chatting — such a fun time~~
