On a day when I wanted to play all day, I went to Real Toon Comic Café (리얼툰만화카페), a Hanam spot packed with things to do. They really take cleanliness seriously here. Cleanliness is one of the things I look at most when I go to a comic café, and this place was genuinely clean and tidy, which I loved!! On top of that, there's a weekday all-day pass, so you can stay all day for ₩16,900 :) Here's my story of a Hanam comic café I was truly happy with, starting right now~~!

Where is Real Toon Comic Café and what's the entrance like?

Real Toon Comic Café is at 45 Misagangbyeonjungang-ro 204beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi, on the 9th floor, Room 905. It has comics, board games, food and much more, so it's a great place to hang out for a while in Hanam!

I took the elevator up, and the clean vibe hit me right from the entrance. You take off your shoes and change into indoor slippers, so the floors are kept clean, and I was in a good mood the moment I walked in. Facilities matter, but cleanliness is what I look at most at a comic café, and Real Toon really satisfied me.

Can you choose your own room at Real Toon?

At Real Toon, you can look around the rooms before paying and pick the spot you want. We chose a slightly bigger private room with a large TV. It even has a curtain, so people can't see in from outside, which made it really comfortable to relax.

The mat was soft and there were cushions too, so it was comfortable for lying down or leaning back. In a space like this, I felt like a few hours would fly by.

Weekday all-day pass for ₩16,900: is it good value?

I used the weekday all-day pass at Real Toon, and it cost ₩16,900. The big plus is that you can stay all day without worrying about the clock. You'd spend about this much after just a few trips to a regular café, and here you can read comics, watch movies, play games and rest, so I thought the value was actually great.

Things to do at Real Toon Comic Café

From the latest hits to nostalgic classics, plus a search PC

Inside Real Toon, there's a huge variety of comics, from the latest popular series to nostalgic classics. There were so many that just browsing was fun. There's also a PC for searching, so you can find the comic you want right away, which was handy. I pulled out a few nostalgic comics after a long time and also read some currently popular titles, and I lost track of time.

Lots of board games and Nintendo titles too

I thought Real Toon was only about comics, but there was so much else to do. You can play Nintendo games, and there are a ton of board games. From familiar ones like Rummikub and Halli Galli to many others, it seemed like you could play with friends and never notice the time passing.

Look at how many Nintendo games there are!!! Just take the one you want to play and go. Nintendo makes time fly, so I'd honestly recommend the all-day pass, haha.

Watching OTT on the room TV

The TV in the room at Real Toon also had OTT (streaming services). I put on a drama I'd been wanting to watch, read comics and rested, and it honestly felt like relaxing at home. Blankets are provided and you can use the heating pad for free, which made it even cozier.

How were the Neoguri ramyeon and tuna rice ball at Real Toon?

At Real Toon, I ordered the ramyeon and rice ball set by QR, picking Neoguri (a thick-noodle seafood ramyeon) for the ramyeon and tuna for the rice ball! After playing for a while I got hungry, so I looked through the menu and landed on this combo.

Neoguri ramyeon and tuna rice ball set

Ramyeon is pretty much a must when you come to a comic café, right? It looked so appetizing from the start. The Neoguri came out bubbling, and the broth was really rich. The noodles were nicely cooked with a chewy bite, and I was satisfied from the first mouthful. Why does ramyeon taste so good when you eat it while reading comics? It feels different from the ramyeon I usually cook at home!

The tuna rice ball that came with it was good quality too. It was generously filled with tuna, and the nutty mayonnaise went really well with the ramyeon. I kept going back and forth, a bite of rice ball, a bite of ramyeon, and before I knew it I'd cleaned it all up.

A day on the all-day pass: the verdict

After eating at Real Toon, I went back to reading comics, watching OTT and playing games, and time went by so fast. Even with the all-day pass, the day felt short. I took breaks here and there, checked my phone and read comics, and had a really relaxed time. What impressed me most was how the shop stayed clean the whole time.

Real Toon is a Hanam comic café I was truly happy with, so I hope this helps you plan your visit~~!
