I took a trip to Incheon after a long while. Planning a one-night, two-day Incheon getaway, I searched hard for a hotel and found this place on Seonjae-do that rivals any pool villa on Daebu-do — Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel & Pension.

How to get to Luna Beach Seonjae from Seoul

I drove there, and since it's just outside Seoul, it only took 1-2 hours. Along the way there are mudflat experiences and lots of pretty large cafés, so I ended up sightseeing and arrived a bit late. There was a ground-level parking lot right in front of the hotel.
Inside the room: ocean-view spa at Luna Beach Seonjae

The reason I picked this Daebu-do-area hotel was exactly this ocean view and spa. The ocean view right in front of the bed was so pretty — with Yeongheung Bridge, the sea, and the mountains all visible — that I felt like I'd already seen all the best spots on Seonjae-do just from inside the hotel.

There was a sofa, TV, table, and a full kitchen, so I could cook just like at a pension. There's even a barbecue area with its own shared kitchen, so there was no issue at all — more on the barbecue area below.

Through the wide picture window I could see the outdoor pool, the dog pool, and the dog play area all at once. It had been a while since I stayed somewhere with such a great view — it really felt like an affordable Incheon hotel, since I couldn't believe I could enjoy this kind of ocean view for the price.
The bathroom had spare toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, conditioner, shampoo, and body wash, and towels were provided in the living room. The water pressure was good, so showering was no problem.

The kitchen had a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, spare bedding, cups, dishes, and pots, so there was almost nothing I needed to bring.

I used the hotel spa, and what made me really happy was how good the view was from it. I couldn't take my eyes off it from when the sun was still out until it set. I enjoyed the view so much that I think my craving for ocean views will be satisfied for a while.
Dog pool and 1.5m outdoor pool at Luna Beach Seonjae

This is the outdoor pool at Luna Beach Seonjae Pension on Seonjae-do. Tubes, water guns, life vests, and all sorts of other swimming essentials are available to rent for free, which made the outdoor pool even more fun. Since the pool is a fairly deep 1.5m, I got to enjoy proper swimming for the first time in a while.

Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel really felt like a large-scale pension that doubles as an Incheon dog hotel and Incheon dog pool.
No weight limit for large dogs, no extra pet fee, and there were leash-free zones available
There was a separate dog pool and a large dog play area with toys. And the amazing part — there's a pet dry room! Plenty of pet supplies were on hand too. This really felt like heaven for dog hotels.
Billiards, karaoke and the shop at Luna Beach Seonjae

Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel has a seminar room with a billiards table and karaoke. It felt like a great hotel for group gatherings or family trips because there's so much to do. You don't even need to search for other Seonjae-do attractions since there's plenty to enjoy right in the hotel — it really felt like a setting made for an Incheon healing trip or an Incheon staycation. I played billiards myself, and doing it after such a long time turned out to be a lot of fun.
Is the 20,000 won barbecue area at Luna Beach Seonjae worth it?

The barbecue area could be used for an extra ₩20,000. With a grill grate, charcoal, tongs, and various disposables provided, it was easy to enjoy.

The convenience store inside Luna Beach Seonjae Hotel already sold cup noodles, instant rice, snacks, and drinks, so even if you forget something, you can comfortably buy it inside the hotel.

By the time we finished enjoying the hotel and the barbecue, the sun had already set and it got dark. Since the pool and barbecue area are open until 10:00 PM, we could keep enjoying them even after sunset. There were rocking chairs, a lawn, and a pavilion at the hotel, so it was nice to sit outside and chat with a bit of mood. The atmosphere was great for lingering outdoors — it seems like a good spot for an anniversary or a trip with a girlfriend.
Luna Beach Seonjae: the verdict after one night
That's how my one-night, two-day trip to Seonjae-do, Incheon came to an end, sadly, at this dog-friendly hotel near Daebu-do. I think it's a great budget-friendly hotel and would also be excellent as a dog hotel. With the spa, pool, and barbecue all in one place, I immediately thought I'd want to stay here again.
