Your Anmok: a Gangneung guesthouse right in front of Anmok Beach
Your Anmok is an ocean-view guesthouse located right in front of Anmok Beach in Gangneung. When planning a Gangneung trip, the accommodation was one of the most important things to me! You end up spending more time at your lodging than you'd think, and since a Gangneung trip is really about the sea, I wanted a place where I could properly enjoy the ocean view from the room itself :))
That's how I found Your Anmok. The name itself fits well with Anmok Beach, and it really is located right in front of the beach, so it's a Gangneung guesthouse where you can enjoy the sea up close.

It's easy to walk from the guesthouse to the beach, and cafés, restaurants, and other conveniences are all nearby, so I liked that you don't have to keep using a car to get around.
What time is check-in at Your Anmok? ID check on the 3rd floor
Check-in at Your Anmok starts at 3:00 PM, on the 3rd floor. You get a text on the day of, and when you check in, they check your ID before handing over the key!

What is the ocean view from Room 401 like?
The part I was most excited about in Room 401 at Your Anmok was, of course, the ocean view. The listing describes it as an ocean-view guesthouse right in front of Anmok Beach, and reviews from actual guests show quite high satisfaction with the sea view too.
If you especially like a wide-open sea view from your room, this should be very satisfying!! In actual reviews, people mention that seeing the sea right in front made it easy to catch the sunrise, and even on cloudy days the ocean view was still pretty — the way the mood changes with the weather is part of the appeal!!
Overall the room feels clean and cozy, so it seems great for couples or a trip for two. Rather than a large place for a group, this felt like a Gangneung stay better suited to those planning a trip just for two. The reviews on bedding and room cleanliness are good too, and many guests mentioned the room was clean and comfortable to relax in.

Room 401, which I stayed in, has a spa, and it's free to use. Whether a room has a bathtub or spa varies, so check the room type before booking!
There are plenty of towels too, and the bathroom has a toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, so you don't have to bring your own!

And at Your Anmok, you can even grill meat using a Jjiggle grill! It costs 20,000 won to use!! While you're staying at the guesthouse, you can enjoy some good grilled meat too :))

With cookware and a microwave, you can easily heat up delivery or takeout food, and there are cups and plates too, so you can even plate your food nicely!
How to make the most of the sea at Anmok Beach
If location and ocean view matter to you on a Gangneung trip, Your Anmok is a pretty appealing choice. Being right in front of Anmok Beach is by far the biggest advantage, and I loved being able to relax while looking out at the sea from the room.
It could be a nice plan to watch the sunrise in the morning, walk along Anmok Beach, enjoy a coffee at the café street, then head back to the room in the afternoon and rest while taking in the ocean view.

Can you watch Netflix and YouTube in the room?
In Room 401 at Your Anmok, you can use Netflix, YouTube, and more, so it was easy to comfortably stream OTT! We've been watching Four Hands these days, so we watched some of that~ and while using the spa, we played music through YouTube.
