Dog-friendly glamping in Goheung with pork belly BBQ: Synth Pet & Kids

It's already fall, and honestly I'm a little sad to see the awful summer go — because this year I barely got to swim at all, ugh. So I decided I couldn't let it end like that and squeezed in one last getaway! I headed to Synth Pet & Kids Glamping in Goheung, South Jeolla, with my dog.

The main thing I wanted was to relax comfortably with my dog, enjoy some barbecue, and above all — swim!!! I still have an unopened pool tube sitting at home lol.

When you arrive at Synth Pet & Kids Glamping, there's a wagon ready to help move your luggage. You just load your bags into the wagon and wheel it to your unit! So convenient, right?

And at check-in, they give you a dog welcome kit!! It comes with a dog towel, puppy pads, poop bags, treats, and pet wipes. So thoughtful, really!

What is unit B like? A standalone site with its own gravel yard

We stayed in unit B at Synth Pet & Kids Glamping!! It's this completely private, standalone space, and you can even play on this gravel yard! Large dogs would especially love this.

Wow... this space was so, so nice!! It was a bit warm the day we visited so we kept the doors closed and the AC on, but in fall it'd probably be lovely to throw the doors open and let the cool breeze in.

Honestly there was nothing missing — every little camping item you could want was there, so it really felt like a proper getaway! And the bed... it was incredibly soft and spacious! I slept like a rock that night lol.

What really got me was how thoughtful they were — a water bowl and food bowl for the dog, plus a dog cushion!

Wait, this TV actually moves? Haha it has wheels, and my husband kept saying he wants one for home... sigh.

We have the same bed frame at home but the mattress is totally different... why is this one so soft, ugh.

There was a separate hair dryer at the vanity too! Plenty of towels and tissues were provided. And the dog cushion was so clean-looking! I gave our dog the treats from the kit and she went absolutely wild lol.

Honestly the bathroom was so clean you could walk in barefoot!

Snack shop, kids' play area, changing room and the indoor warm-water pool

Synth Pet & Kids Glamping has a snack shop, so if you run out of anything while eating, you can just buy it there. We'd already stopped at a supermarket beforehand, but it's reassuring to know it's there! Right next to the shop there's also a play area for kids.

And then there's the pool! Since it's an indoor warm-water pool, you can even use it in winter. Inside, kids were happily splashing around with their parents!

And outside there's a sand play area too. So this really is the best glamping stay in South Jeolla for letting both dogs and kids run wild!

A day with the dog: ball games on the lawn at Synth Pet & Kids Glamping

Now that we'd seen everything, time to let our dog have some fun too! She got so excited. We brought a ball from home lol — because at home there's no way you get to play fetch this freely on grass, right?

Just a note — after playing so hard that day, my legs were shaking lol, and the next morning she wanted to play fetch again... sigh, my energy was completely gone lol.

Pork belly BBQ for dinner — camping dishware included

After the ball games, we got back to find my husband had already set everything up lol.

Of course it had to be pork belly since we're on a trip, right?

Usually when we're eating something she goes wild wanting some, but maybe from all that fetch, she was completely knocked out...

Meanwhile the pork belly was sizzling away nice and golden! Normally the smell of cooking meat would have her right at our side begging for a bite, but she was still out cold lol.

A bite of meat, a shot of soju~~~ ah~~~~ Honestly, isn't even the soju glass adorable? Everything from the plates to the shot glasses is camping gear!

Wrapped some lettuce wraps too~ and our dog just kept getting more and more tired lol.

The pool closes at 8pm, so night swimming has to wait

When night fell, the lights came on around the Synth glamping site and it was so romantic~~~ haha. After putting our dog to bed I went to go swimming, only to find the pool closes at 8pm ㅠㅠ ugh... so my swim plans were dashed once again lol. But that's okay!!! We can just come back another time!!!!
