Indian restaurant in Songdo for big eaters: 2-person set, Manokamana
In short
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is an Indian curry restaurant inside Triple Street in Songdo, Yeonsu, Incheon. A couple of big eaters ordered the 2-person set of curry, tandoori chicken and naan through mobile order, and loved the naan baked fresh in the open kitchen and the deep flavor of the tomato-based curry. The spices may not suit everyone, but Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is worth recommending for rich, authentic-tasting Indian curry.

Anyone wasting time hunting for a good place to eat at Songdo Triple Street, gather round!!!

This is the hallmark of Naelmoji: no fake praise, just straight facts. I went to Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 today, and if you're wondering whether to go or not, this one post will settle it.

Why we chose Manokamana Branch 2 at Songdo Triple Street
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is an Indian curry restaurant at Songdo Triple Street. There are loads of restaurants at Triple Street, but you often get there and think, "I'm paying this much for this?" Happened to me quite a few times. This time I wanted something different, so I went to the Songdo Indian curry place, Manokamana Branch 2.

Reservations and atmosphere at Manokamana Branch 2
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 has reserved seating, so you can book ahead. The interior is spacious, so it seemed good for going with a group of friends too!

To get straight to the conclusion: it was clearly a cut above places that only half-heartedly imitate Indian food.

What to order at Manokamana Branch 2: the 2-person set
If you can't decide what to order at Manokamana Branch 2, don't agonize, just get a set menu!! Here's the tip up front. There's no paper menu and you order on your phone, and I bet some of you will panic the moment you see it... (I did too, hehehehe)

I mean, why are there so many kinds of curry, and which naan do you pick.. headache, right? For people like that, Manokamana has really well put-together set menus that are just right for two.

Is the set big enough for a couple of big eaters?
The Manokamana 2-person set comes with curry, tandoori chicken and naan, and it was not lacking at all even for two big eaters. You get to try a bunch of Indian dishes at once, and I felt like I was actually traveling in India, lolololol. The lineup is solid. (My boyfriend and I are both big eaters, and it was great..)

How do you order at Manokamana Branch 2? Mobile order
Ordering at Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is by mobile order, and it was really convenient. No need to call over a staff member to ask for this or that; you just scroll on your phone, pick, and you're done.
I thought it was the perfect system for impatient people and introverts! The menu descriptions are detailed too, so being able to read them slowly on your phone before choosing was a big plus.

Naan baked fresh in Manokamana's open kitchen
The naan at Manokamana Branch 2 is baked in real time in the open kitchen, and this is an absolute must!!! (It'd be a foul if it weren't good.) One of the reasons I call Manokamana the best restaurant near Incheon National University Station is this freshly baked naan.

It's on another level from places that just reheat ready-made naan. The chewiness and nutty flavor of hot naan straight from the oven is something you have to taste yourself.
With the kitchen in plain view, I trusted the hygiene, and watching the naan-making show was fun enough that the wait never got boring.

Manokamana curry flavor: how divisive are the spices?
Manokamana's curry keeps the aroma of Indian spices alive, so it may be a bit divisive. Luckily I'm friendly with spices, so the scent of India felt very familiar and I loved it!

If you hate bland curry tailored too much to Korean tastes and want to feel that deep, thick local richness, Manokamana is the Songdo Indian curry spot for you.

The mild tomato-based curry especially was so deep in flavor that the moment it hit my mouth I thought, "Ah, this is real Indian curry." Fresh vegetables and meat go in generously, so it's great to chew, and the spice balance was a really good catch... hehe ><
Checklist before visiting Manokamana Branch 2 (subscriber FAQ)
I'm new to Indian food. Will it be okay?
Manokamana's curry isn't so spicy-strong that it puts you off, and the taste is fairly mainstream, but it can still be divisive!
How are parking and access?
Manokamana Branch 2 is inside Triple Street, so parking is naturally easy, and it's a perfect route for dropping by while shopping.
Which curry combination do you recommend?
If you like it mild, I recommend "chicken makhani"; if you want something a little spicy, go for "palak paneer" or "chicken tikka masala."

If you want a proper Indian meal in Songdo, don't go somewhere random and waste your money! Give Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 a try. Naelmoji is telling you this after eating there herself, so you can trust it.
