Being right on a main road, it was easy to spot at a glance. The ground floor has a dedicated piloti-structure parking lot, and it's also just a 5–10 minute walk from Exit 7 of Seongseo Industrial Complex Station on Line 2, so it was convenient whether we came by car or public transit.
Inside Gankeun Galbi: sofa-seat hall, private rooms and a playroom

Gankeun Galbi, an all-you-can-eat BBQ spot in Seongseo, Daegu, ranked No. 1 in a 2026 Korea satisfaction index — fresh food, friendly service, and all of it in a clean, pleasant interior. The hall is quite large and fitted with sofa seating, so it was comfortable, and there are also private rooms that are great for group dinners or gatherings.

There's also a safe playroom with game machines and claw machines, plus kids' chairs and dishware all provided — great for a relaxed family meal.
What's on the all-you-can-eat menu and the self-serve bar?

Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch runs its own cold storage warehouse, handling meat selection, prep and storage in-house. By cutting out unnecessary distribution steps, they offer good-quality meat at a reasonable price, which is why the place is always popular. Beyond the all-you-can-eat option, you can also order à la carte or takeout, and there's a Naver receipt review event running too, making it great value in several ways.
With the all-you-can-eat option, besides meats like pork ribs, pork belly and makchang, you also get access to a self-serve bar made fresh in-house daily with carefully chosen seasonal ingredients. Drinks, bingsu, chicken, tteokbokki, fried snacks, ramyeon and more — it was truly fun picking and choosing, and it filled us right up.
How do the charcoal-grilled pork ribs taste?

Gankeun's signature has to be the pork ribs — fresh meat aged in a special sauce that soaks deep through tight cross-cuts. Grilled golden-brown over charcoal, they pick up a gentle smokiness. Truly the best.

Sweet and salty in just the right balance, the seasoning soaked in without being overpowering, giving a natural savoriness that's a total rice thief. Not tough at all — tender, with a clean flavor that everyone, kids and adults alike, enjoyed.
Domestic fresh pork belly, also all-you-can-eat

And yes, domestic fresh pork belly is also part of the all-you-can-eat. Fresh meat with no off smell, chewy texture, juicy, vivid color, and thick-cut.
The fat-to-lean ratio was just right too, so it was savory without being greasy, and you could still taste the rich flavor of pork belly.

The base ingredient was good enough to enjoy plain, but it also paired well with the various side dishes.

It went perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, the sweet-and-tangy scallion salad, the glossy fluffy white rice, and even with soju — good as a side to rice or as a drinking snack.
Doenjang jjigae, cold noodles and the final verdict on Gankeun Galbi
At a BBQ restaurant, you can't skip the savory doenjang jjigae, the cool mul-naengmyeon, or the spicy bibim-naengmyeon. It's rare for all of these to be equally good, but they seem to make most things in-house rather than relying on premade products — even after eating a lot, my stomach felt fine and digestion was easy.
Dining out prices aren't easy these days, but Gankeun Galbi in Seongseo, Daegu delivers fresh flavor, generous portions, a solid self-serve bar, convenient parking, and a safe playroom, all in one all-you-can-eat BBQ spot.
