I visited while looking for a hearty meal near Songjeong Beach in Busan. These days, there are lots of Japanese-style cutlet places, but this one had exactly the old-school Western-style Korean pork cutlet feeling I remember from childhood, so it felt extra special haha. This is Deli Donkatsu (델리돈까스).

When you're on the east Busan side, you often end up visiting Lotte Outlet, IKEA, or the Osiria Tourism Complex together, right? So if you're looking for a good east Busan restaurant to stop by before or after shopping or a day out, I think it would fit nicely into your route haha.

It is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, with a break from 16:00 to 17:00; Fridays only run from 11:00 to 15:00. You can park beside the restaurant or on nearby streets.

Since it is near Songjeong Beach, it was nice for a meal after looking around the sea, and it was also a good place to stop by while out on the east Busan side.

This seems to be a popular delivery spot too. Delivery drivers kept coming and going, and there were quite a few customers inside as well.

Ordering an extra-large Western-style cutlet and cheese cutlet

Deli Donkatsu has not only pork cutlets but also dishes such as cheese Neapolitan spaghetti on a hot plate and creamy kimchi fried rice on a hot plate, so it seems like a good place to come as a group and share a few dishes. We ordered the extra-large Western-style pork cutlet and cheese cutlet that day. And we ordered a beer too haha. Pork cutlet and beer actually go surprisingly well together.

I also liked that each menu item at Deli Donkatsu comes with morning bread rolls and soup.

The nostalgic taste of morning bread and soup

We started with the morning bread and soup, and it was truly that exact flavor from old Western-style Korean restaurants! It was not an unusually special flavor, but a familiar one—and that made it even tastier.

These morning rolls go so well with strawberry jam! You know exactly what I mean, haha. Such a nostalgic taste.

The little pig drawn on this soup was so cute haha.

Generous cutlets and plenty of cheese

And finally, the cutlets! Since we ordered the pork cutlet in the extra-large size, the portion was seriously huge.

What I especially enjoyed was the cheese cutlet! There was seriously so much cheese. When I cut into the cutlet, it was packed inside and kept streaming out!! If you love cheese, I think the cheese cutlet would be a great choice too! Haha.

And this cheese did not taste like imitation cheese—it was nicely stretchy, rich, and genuinely delicious.

The Western-style pork cutlet was fried crisp and topped generously with house-made sauce simmered in-house, so it really captured that distinctive old-school Western-style Korean cutlet flavor.

The meat was not tough at all, and I especially enjoyed the sweet, tasty cutlet sauce.

Free coffee to finish the pork cutlet meal

Free coffee after the meal

You can have coffee for free after your meal too. Having a cup after the cutlet made for the perfect finish to the meal haha.

These days, pork cutlet restaurants tend to bring thick Japanese-style cutlets to mind, but sometimes you really crave an old-school Western-style Korean pork cutlet like this, right? Haha. Deli Donkatsu was a great Busan Songjeong restaurant for exactly those times! With house-made sauce over crispy cutlets, plus morning bread and soup, it really delivered that nostalgic Western-style Korean restaurant feeling. The portions were generous too, so it was great when I wanted a filling meal, and the cheese cutlet was satisfying because it was loaded with cheese. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Busan Songjeong, I recommend a nostalgic cutlet meal at Deli Donkatsu haha.
