Suwolgyeonghwa by Songjeong Sea: Getting There and Parking

Suwolgyeonghwa is near the entrance to Songjeonggudeokpo-gil in Haeundae-gu, Busan, right in front of the beach road at Songjeong Beach, so it is really easy to find. It is also close to Songjeong Station at Haeundae Blueline Park, making it a great stop after riding the beach train. Parking can be a total nightmare around Songjeong Beach on weekends or at peak times, but this place has dedicated parking on the building’s first floor, so you can park comfortably.

Ocean-View Seats and Interior Atmosphere at Suwolgyeonghwa

Once you head upstairs, you are welcomed by a tranquil, upscale atmosphere that naturally draws a little gasp of admiration. Every seat on the third and fourth floors has an ocean view, so wherever you sit, you can take in the blue Songjeong Sea and the beach train passing by at a glance.

This is the signature ocean-view spot where you can leisurely watch the cute beach train pass along the tracks right in front of the sea. There is both a comfortable floor-seating area with the feel of traditional Korean window doors and a modern, pleasant table-seating area, so it is easy to choose based on your preference or who you are with.

The fourth floor is mainly arranged with two-person tables where you can drink tea while facing Songjeong Beach. Visit during the daytime, when the sea and beach-train view are at their prettiest, and you can get those life-best photos in the warm sunlight.

What Are the Dalbodeure Box and Tea Menu Like?

Suwolgyeonghwa’s standout signature is undoubtedly the Dalbodeure Box, neatly arranged in a wooden case. The drinks range from premium loose-leaf teas that let you properly enjoy a tea-ceremony mood to sweet fusion drinks. Rather than the usual bakery café offerings, there are refined Korean-style desserts and elegant traditional-fusion teas, so it is a really lovely place to bring your parents, too.

Dalbodeure Box and Hojigabae by the Window

Since this was a return visit, I again settled into a window seat and ordered premium tea and the signature Dalbodeure Box to enjoy this Songjeong view café. The Dalbodeure Box, served in an antique-style wooden case, was already completely satisfying visually. It held handmade desserts that capture Korean charm, neatly arranged: ganache seolgi (steamed rice cake), black-sesame injeolmi (chewy rice cake), tteokaron (rice-cake macaron), and red-bean-butter monaka.

They were not overly sweet, and the nutty flavors of the ingredients and chewy textures came through beautifully, making them an absolutely fantastic match with clean, slightly bitter tea. They are pretty to look at and not overwhelming in flavor—order this when you visit with your parents and it is guaranteed to get rave reviews!

The premium tea, carefully set out in a tea set, had such a charming aroma that gently spread through the air. The miguk gabae (Americano) felt a little strong, so I topped it up with a little water at the counter and it was perfect. Taking a sip of tea while looking out at the wide-open Songjeong Sea and the beach train passing by now and then made it feel as though all the stress of everyday life had been completely emptied away.

I ordered Hojigabae, this place’s signature coffee. The coffee met a mild, savory flavor, and even on my first sip it was delicious and did not feel unfamiliar at all. I personally enjoyed it so much that I would choose it again on my next visit.
