Gangnam Western restaurant for weekday lunch rose pasta: Eulji Darak

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station is a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building at the end of an alley, a 6-minute walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station in Seoul. Two of us came for weekday lunch and ordered the Darak omurice (omelet rice) at 17,000 won and the Darak rose pasta with bread added at 21,000 won, and we wandered up to the 3rd floor because the entrance is an elevator marked "This is not elevator." Staff slice the omurice open at the table and the rose pasta is mildly spicy, so Eulji Darak Gangnam Station works well for a blind date or a wedding-invitation gathering.

Fig-season showcase at Sinnonhyeon dessert café: Something About

Something About Coffee is a large dessert café spread over three floors between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul. Its showcase was packed with fig-season cakes, and we picked a peach cheesecake and a pineapple cake coconut cookie to go with an iced Americano and a black sesame latte. With a wide dessert lineup and roomy seating, Something About Coffee is an easy recommendation among Gangnam dessert cafés.
