How the boneless monkfish stew tastes, and the portion size

After a short wait, the boneless monkfish stew finally arrived! It came piled high on the plate, looking really appetizing. What caught my eye first was the generous amount of bean sprouts! If you're someone who loves bean sprouts in monkfish stew, this visual alone will make you happy, haha.

And now for today's star, the monkfish meat! Since it's boneless, I could eat it right away without having to pick out bones one by one with my chopsticks — such a relief. The monkfish meat was soft and moist, pairing well with the crunchy texture of the bean sprouts.

Bones can make eating monkfish stew a bit inconvenient, but the boneless version does away with that hassle. I thought this kind of dish would be especially great for a quick, delicious lunch.

Adding udon noodles to the stew

Added udon noodles!

Monkfish stew really does taste best with udon noodles added. Mixing the sauce-soaked bean sprouts with the udon and topping it with monkfish meat was genuinely delicious. At first the portion looked like a lot and I was a bit worried, but once I started eating, I just kept going, haha.
