Korean BBQ in Seoul with rosé-style kimchi jjigae: Sansol Sinnonhyeon
In short
Sansol Sinnonhyeon is an aged pork belly Korean BBQ restaurant on Gangnam-daero 112-gil near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul, where staff grill each cut at the table using techniques suited to that part of the pig. The writer ordered the discount mixed platter for 2–3 people (500g, 56,000 won) and pork kimchi jjigae with sulbap rice (10,000 won) for a total of 66,000 won, and the jjigae tasted unusual in a good way, slightly like a rosé sauce. With downdraft extraction that leaves no smoke or lingering smell, Sansol Sinnonhyeon is an easy choice for group dinners.

What kind of restaurant is Sansol Sinnonhyeon?

They said the name 'Sansol' comes from the idea of preparing food carefully using fresh ingredients sourced from mountains in Gangwon-do. Knowing that meaning before eating raised my expectations even more.
Sansol Sinnonhyeon hours and parking near Sinnonhyeon Station
Sansol Sinnonhyeon is open Mon-Fri 11:30-23:00 with a break from 15:00-16:00, and Sat-Sun 12:00-22:00.

For parking, they recommend the paid mechanical parking lot at the designer hotel right across the street. It's ₩3,000 for a small car and ₩5,000 for a large car — I drive a small SUV but ended up paying the large-car rate, ₩5,000 for 2 hours.
Inside Sansol Sinnonhyeon: tables, group rooms and the aging fridge
Sansol Sinnonhyeon's interior felt clean and upscale overall, and each table is well separated by partitions, making it good for a private meal.
There's also a room available for group use. It's not multiple rooms though, so if you want the room, it's best to reserve ahead.

Inside the restaurant you can also see a neatly maintained aging cellar for the meat. Being able to see how the meat is managed gave me even more confidence.

After confirming through the livestock grading certificate that they only use 1+ grade meat, my trust in the meat quality grew even more.
Sansol Sinnonhyeon menu and prices

Given the upscale atmosphere and satisfying service, the prices weren't burdensome at all — overall pretty good value for money.

Since we had a reservation, the side dishes were already neatly set out on the table when we arrived. They said everything from the sauces to the banchan is handmade daily with fresh ingredients.

The yuzu-dressed radish salad and the scallion-soy sauce were distinctive flavors you don't easily find elsewhere, so they stuck with me. The scallion-soy sauce in particular paired so well with the meat that I kept reaching for it.
Staff grilling at the table on a custom-made grill plate
I liked that at Sansol Sinnonhyeon, each cut of meat is grilled using whichever technique suits it best. It felt like they were just finishing it off at the table, so it was ready to eat quickly.

The grill plate Sansol uses is custom-built in-house — they say its high heat retention locks in the juices and brings out even more flavor from the meat.

This photo was taken right while the meat was grilling — notice there's not a single wisp of smoke? Thanks to the downdraft ventilation, there's no smoke at all and no meat smell clings to you. With staff grilling everything for you, this place is perfect for group gatherings.

Ordering the mixed platter meant we got to try several cuts at once, and with so many sauces to choose from, it was fun mixing and matching combinations.

They also grilled up a variety of garnishes for us — corn, zucchini, mushrooms, and more.
Pork kimchi jjigae that tastes faintly like rosé sauce

And the dish I really want to recommend is the kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew). It genuinely had a taste you can only find here — slightly rosé-like, if that makes sense.

It's different from the usual kimchi jjigae flavor, so my first bite made me go 'huh?' — but the more I ate, the more I kept reaching for it, which surprised me. In the end I scraped the pot clean. It might feel unfamiliar at first, but it's the kind of flavor that grows on you — I genuinely want to recommend this one!!

On the way out they even gave us candy and dental floss as a free service >_< Upscale, clean, and the taste is on point too — Sansol is a place I want to recommend as a great meat spot near Sinnonhyeon Station.
