Aruncoast Pool Villa in Hadong: the verdict after one night with four family members
This September, to welcome autumn, we took a family trip to Aruncoast Pool Villa in Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam. We went as a group of four, bringing my parents along.
To cut to the conclusion: it felt like an overseas vacation and pure nature healing! Even though it was just one night, we managed to spend our time properly.

★★★★★
- An exotic infinity pool that feels like a Bali resort
- A 3-story standalone structure with a separate kitchen
- The accommodation itself felt like an overseas resort, from welcome food to overall comfort!
I'd recommend this for a family trip or a trip to treat your parents. Let me show you everything, one by one.

An exotic resort feel, just as it looks in photos
Even before check-in, it felt like arriving abroad! Honestly, my jaw dropped the moment I saw it. My parents felt the same way — overall, we were so glad we chose this place for a one-night healing trip.
🌴 Visiting in person, the atmosphere exceeded our expectations!
Unlike Seoul in September, where the temperature swings are intense, it was still a hot 32 degrees here. With a gentle breeze and warm sunshine, it was perfect — even though it was September, it felt like facing the peak heat of August all over again.

Three-story standalone layout: how the family split the bedrooms
Aruncoast Pool Villa is built as a 3-story standalone unit, which is a big advantage since it lets family members use the space privately and comfortably. The kitchen on the 1st floor serves as the base, with bedrooms uniquely and efficiently arranged above and below it.

Considering ease of movement, we gave my parents the downstairs bedroom, which was relatively easier to access and had a more spacious layout complete with a jacuzzi for relaxing. They could rest more comfortably and privately, while my spouse and I took the upstairs bedroom.

The downstairs bedroom with a jacuzzi

The bed condition and cleanliness were equally excellent upstairs and downstairs, so we slept cozy and comfortable no matter which room we used. Most importantly, since the bedrooms were completely separate from the kitchen, there was no worry about food smells lingering on the bedding or bugs being drawn in — it stayed genuinely pleasant the entire stay.

A shower chair in the downstairs bathroom
🪑🪑 There was one more small but touching detail. In the downstairs bathroom, there was a little wooden chair for sitting comfortably while showering. This downstairs space was the one we gave to my father, who has some knee trouble, and seeing that a chair for sitting while washing up was provided the moment we noticed it — it was really touching.

The private barbecue area for family grilling
Right in front of the 3-story standalone building, there's a table set up for private use. That's where you grill barbecue! Just rent the grill plate and enjoy cooking meat comfortably.

Welcome food waiting in the villa
The welcome food service we found right after checking in was also a small but big touch of joy! Fresh bananas and oranges along with fragrant drip coffee were set out. Just sitting in the ocean-view living room enjoying fruit and coffee felt like healing itself!

The ocean-view infinity pool is unreal
Seeing it in person, it's even more spacious, refreshing, cool, and stylish — a real oceanview infinity pool. The moment we checked in and got ready, we ran straight for the pool!

There is a small shop on site, too
There's also a separate shop on site. We sat and waited here for a bit while getting ready to check in. Browsing the shop was fun in itself, and since it's decorated like a café, you can order a cup of coffee.

What the room guide tells you

Before using the room, make sure to read the guide sheet! It covers everything from how to use the room to the WiFi details, all laid out in detail.

How well stocked is the kitchen?
All the kitchenware needed for setting up meals is provided. There are 2 knives, wine glasses, a bottle opener, 4 sets of glasses, spoons, chopsticks, and everything from a microwave to a water purifier.

We got to enjoy the mood with wine glasses, and since the table itself was spacious, we could set out everything we wanted without feeling cramped during our family meal for four.

Parasols, sun loungers, and the sea at low tide
Free-to-use sun loungers under parasols. We lost track of time swimming and resting on our own. Where the loungers sit, the water comes up to ankle level, so move slowly with bare feet to avoid slipping.
Sitting under the parasol, you can watch the seawater recede over time! In the evening, the water comes back in — and this ever-changing scenery was really charming.
This quiet, secluded spot — Aruncoast Pool Villa in Hadong — had no cars passing by even late at night, making it perfect for a quick stargazing break.

The air was so good too — we slept like babies, the sound of insects came through like ASMR, and it truly felt like a proper getaway.

Abalone porridge breakfast for four, 50,000 won
For breakfast, we ordered abalone porridge (jeonbokjuk) for four people. It was delivered right to the front of the villa around 8:30–9:00 AM. There were various side dishes to go with the porridge, and the rolled egg omelet came out looking so pretty. Filling up on porridge before heading home made even the last breakfast satisfying!
What to pack before you go to Aruncoast Pool Villa
Lastly, at the time of my visit, shower amenities were not provided at all. Please refer to this review and be sure to carefully pack any personal shower items you'll need.
