Shabu20 near Daegu Airport: how much parking is there?

Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch sits on Gonghang-ro in Buk-gu, Daegu, close to Daegu Airport, and the parking lot is huge. The moment we pulled up, the first thing that won me over was the sheer size of that parking lot.

When a restaurant has awkward parking, I hesitate to even go — but here, there's easily room for 30 or more cars in front, behind, and to the side, which made things really convenient.

The 190-seat hall and a salad bar for a baby's food tray

Walking into Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch, I was greeted by a massive space that seats up to 190 people, giving it a genuinely comfortable atmosphere.

Looking around the salad bar, there was plenty for adults but also lots of soft foods, so it was really easy to scoop rice and side dishes onto my baby's food tray.

How do the huoguo and bonito broths taste?

Shabu20 lets you pick from 5 broths, and we ordered mala hotpot and bonito.

Once it started bubbling, I took a little taste — the mala broth was pretty spicy and numbing for someone like me who can't handle heat well. The bonito broth, on the other hand, stuck to the basics with a deep, savory flavor, and once we loaded it up with vegetables and meat and cooked everything through,

it was exactly right for my and my kid's taste, and we inhaled it. There were all kinds of sauces set up at the salad bar,

but with the broth itself already rich from fresh vegetable stock and good-quality meat juices,

skipping the sauce and eating things as they were suited my personal taste much better. We ended up refilling the meat so many times I lost count — a truly hearty meal.
