Where is Central Site Yeonnam, and what are its hours?

Central Site Yeonnam is at 29-1 Yeonhui-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 449m from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station. Hours are Mon–Fri 08:00–22:00, Sat–Sun 08:30–22:00.

There's no dedicated parking, so I'd recommend a nearby public lot or public transit.

Why Yeonnam-dong coffee lovers come here for hand-drip

Today I'm introducing 'Central Site Yeonnam.' While looking for cafes in Hongdae, I heard this was a place where you could properly enjoy hand-drip coffee, which you don't see that often these days, so I went to check it out haha.

This isn't just a place where you drink a cup of coffee and leave — you actually pick the beans yourself, smell them, and even watch the coffee being brewed, which made it feel pretty different.

I usually like nutty coffee, so this time I picked a Guatemala bean along with a Geisha bean I was curious about and compared them. It felt like a waste to just drink coffee, so I also ordered the classic tiramisu, and that combo turned out to be really good lol. Let's get into the detailed review.

Floor by floor: the brewing bar, second-floor window seats and third floor

The exterior had that classic pretty-Yeonnam-dong-cafe feel.

There's a huge brewing bar set up on the first floor, so instead of sitting down to drink coffee right away, what catches your eye first is the barista actually making the coffee.

I could watch right in front of me as they ground the beans and prepared the hand-drip — this was actually my first time seeing it up close like this, so it was fun to watch haha.

There were a few seats on one side of the first floor, but personally I'd recommend going upstairs to drink your coffee!

When I visited, the second floor had the most customers, probably because the window seats are great for enjoying the view outside while drinking coffee.

The space extends all the way up to the third floor, so there were more seats than I expected.

Central Site Yeonnam menu: brewing coffee and desserts

Central Site sells everything from standard espresso drinks to brewing coffee. The real focus of this place is definitely the brewing coffee — with Geisha and several other specialty beans to choose from, coffee lovers will probably have fun picking their menu.

On the dessert side there was tiramisu, triple brownie, and more. Looking at the display case, the desserts looked so much more delicious than expected that I ended up ordering the tiramisu too, even though I'd meant to just get coffee lol.

Looked like they also sell the beans separately.

Geisha Peach Punch at 12,000 won vs Guatemala at 8,000 won

What we ordered was the Colombia Finca Quebraditas Geisha Washed - Peach Punch, the Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed, and the classic tiramisu.

Sitting by the window on the second floor was great for taking photos of the coffee and dessert haha.

Colombia Finca Quebraditas Geisha Washed – Peach Punch, 12,000 won

After ordering, they ground the beans right there and let us smell them, and true to its name, Peach Punch really did give off a peach-like aroma. When I actually drank it, instead of a heavy weight it had a fragrant, fruity character upfront, making it pretty light and easy to drink.

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed, 8,000 won

The Guatemala Entre Volcanes, on the other hand, was definitely more my style. The nutty character is front and center, so it was easy to drink from the very first sip, and since I generally like this style of bean, I personally kept reaching for this one lol.

Classic tiramisu, 8,500 won

The classic tiramisu we ordered alongside was really sweet! Eating it with the coffee made the sweetness go together even better.

The soft cream had coffee flavor soaked in, and with moist sponge layers in between, each bite went down smoothly. I usually find overly sweet desserts a bit much without coffee, but taking a sip of hand-drip and then a bite of tiramisu worked out fine.

Especially paired with the nutty Guatemala coffee, the sweetness of the tiramisu and the nuttiness of the coffee matched really well haha. If you're looking for desserts in Hongdae and love tiramisu, it's worth ordering it alongside coffee.

Is Central Site Yeonnam worth a visit?

What stuck with me about 'Central Site Yeonnam' this time was that it's not just about drinking coffee — you get to pick the beans, smell them, and even watch them being extracted right in front of you. Grinding the beans and smelling them immediately was pretty fun for me, and having a barista pour hand-drip right in front of you is something you don't often see at other cafes, so it felt novel.

If you're looking for cafes in Yeonnam-dong and want to enjoy coffee in a slightly different way, this kind of experience makes it worth a visit at least once. If you like nutty coffee like me, the Guatemala will probably suit you well, and if you want something more fragrant and distinctive, the Peach Punch is fun to try too. And if you like sweet desserts, the classic tiramisu is worth ordering alongside.

Overall, this was a good spot to slow down, smell the beans, and watch the coffee being brewed rather than just grabbing a cup and leaving. Among cafes in Hongdae, if you're into hand-drip coffee, you'll probably enjoy this quite a bit — I'd like to come back and try a different bean next time. If you're looking for cafes in Yeonnam-dong and want a bit of a special coffee experience, Central Site Yeonnam is worth a visit haha.
