Muirang Mulhoerang Hyoseong Direct Branch, a mulhoe restaurant in Gyeyang
I visited Muirang Mulhoerang Hyoseong Direct Branch!! It is a mulhoe restaurant that uses fresh seasonal seafood. They say they supply fresh seafood every day using their own delivery truck, and personally manage the aquarium and seawater behind the restaurant to maintain the best freshness. Let me introduce it right away👏👏

It is prawn season these days, and because this is a well-known mulhoe spot, lots of people were coming for dinner. As a specialized mulhoe restaurant that feels distinct from a regular raw-fish restaurant, it is a place where you can enjoy seasonal seafood at its most delicious. I had no idea Gyeyang had a gem like this🥹
Spacious white interior and volleyball memorabilia
This is what the interior looks like! It is an incredibly spacious place. The clean white-toned interior is the standout feature. There are so many seats, making it perfect for groups to come and dine. It would be great to reserve for group gatherings, company dinners, family get-togethers, or meetups with friends, and the atmosphere is lovely enough to get a full pass as a date spot too👍 Grilled prawns, mulhoe, and seafood with drinks—what could be better~~

And I think the owner must really love volleyball! Maybe they are a fan of the Korean Air Jumbos volleyball team? There were autographs, framed jerseys, cute figurines, and more, all displayed so charmingly that it was fun to look around at the decor. I like volleyball too, so I was so happy to see it!
Side dishes and tips before ordering assorted mulhoe

The basic side dishes are wonderfully varied: seaweed soup, black sesame salad, stir-fried nuts, kimchi, and pickled peppers. They are exactly the foods that taste extra delicious when you are hungry✨ Perfect for nibbling on while waiting for the main dish!

Now, let’s properly look at the menu! The guide even has some great tips for eating mulhoe!
- Mix the mulhoe thoroughly. Mix well so that the soybean powder, sesame oil, and other ingredients inside do not clump together.
- Put the corn somyeon (thin wheat noodles) into one side of the mulhoe ahead of time. Adding the noodles early makes them chewier!
- Serve yourself the raw fish and vegetables first. Eat the corn somyeon after it has absorbed plenty of broth.
- Finally, order rice ahead of time and let it cool. Mixing cooled rice into the seasoning makes it even more delicious.

The menu was seriously extensive, with assorted mulhoe, hoe-deopbap (rice topped with raw fish), live abalone rice bowls, clam kalguksu, dodari sekkosi, assorted sashimi, raw abalone, whole steamed baby squid, spicy fish stew, grilled prawns, yukhoe bibimbap, seafood pajeon, seasonal winter yellowtail, live webfoot octopus shabu-shabu, spring dodari sekkosi, and more! I ordered the assorted mulhoe. The corn somyeon comes free, and they said clam soup comes with orders of mulhoe for two or more, so I added kalguksu noodles.

The clam soup that came with it had a substantial amount of clams. The broth was deep and rich, and really delicious. This is the ultimate drinking snack~~👏👏

Isn’t kalguksu and mulhoe a combination that needs no explanation!! The extra noodles were wonderfully chewy and delicious too〰️ I totally recommend ordering mulhoe for two or more. And now, let me introduce today’s star🥹

A generous two-person assorted mulhoe, from halibut to abalone
This is the two-person assorted mulhoe. It was generously loaded with fresh large halibut, dodari sekkosi, sea cucumber, and abalone!! I loved how truly plentiful it was! Rather than sugar, the mulhoe seasoning is made with fruit, onions, and traditional seasonings sourced from a mill, so the tangy sweetness is on another level.. ❤️
At other places, you have to order corn somyeon separately! Here, I loved that it was complimentary. They mixed the corn somyeon directly into the sweet-and-tangy assorted mulhoe. They said it tastes even better once it has soaked up plenty of broth. You can really taste the fruit’s sweetness and freshness strongly on your tongue, with none of that artificial-sweetener flavor at all! Honestly, it was even more delicious than the mulhoe I had in Sokcho👍 This place is the real deal.. Everyone, do not leave any mulhoe broth behind—order rice and be sure to mix it in.

Eating the fresh seafood—truly chewy flounder and halibut, crunchy sea cucumber, and tender, savory abalone—gave me energy all on its own! I enjoyed it so much without even a trace of fishiness!! This must be why people crave mulhoe in summer👏 My lost appetite came right back💕 I do not think I would ever get tired of this restaurant’s tangy-sweet mulhoe, even if I ate it every day!!! I officially recognize it as a top mulhoe spot in Gyeyang—no, Incheon—no, the whole country.

Your mouth gets cold while eating mulhoe, so I finished with warm broth and kalguksu noodles! With kalguksu that settles your stomach so nicely, it could not help being a perfect meal! I ate so well and felt incredibly full, and I understood why Muirang Mulhoerang says it is confident in its mulhoe! It is a restaurant the owner can absolutely be proud of.
The interior is spacious and pleasant, the seafood is fresh and delicious, and I cannot stop thinking about that perfectly sweet-and-tangy mulhoe.. I am planning to go again soon. I had a truly wonderful meal! There are plenty of different dishes to have with drinks, including assorted mulhoe, grilled prawns, and steamed squid, so anyone wanting delicious seafood with a drink should definitely visit. Looking for a great mulhoe restaurant in Incheon?? If you are looking for a fresh seafood restaurant in Incheon, it is Muirang Mulhoerang. They say they will be open during Chuseok too, so keep that in mind.

Using the large parking lot
The parking lot is huge too!! Visit without worrying about parking👏👏 A truly great mulhoe spot—10000% willing to revisit!
