Korean restaurant in Seohae, Incheon: Set B galbijjim, Haemokjeong
In short
Haemokjeong Seoknam is a seafood-jjim and galbijjim (braised ribs) Korean restaurant in Seohae, Incheon, a 6-minute walk from Exit 6 of Seoknam Station. Arriving before opening, the writer ordered Set B at 45,000 won (spicy pork galbi, mushroom kalguksu and 2 pieces of fried squid) at medium spice; the pork fell off the bone and the fiery mushroom kalguksu was so generous there was no room for the flying-fish-roe fried rice. With normal hours on Chuseok and 2 hours of free parking at Gangnam Market's public lot, Haemokjeong Seoknam works easily for a holiday family meal.

Today I visited Haemokjeong, a restaurant near Seoknam Station famous enough to rack up 2 million views on YouTube, not to mention appearances on well-known food shows. It's known as a great lunch spot for hearty, restorative food, but with such a varied menu it's just as good for dinner haha^^

Where is Haemokjeong Seoknam, and what are its hours and parking?
Haemokjeong Seoknam is at 84 Sinseok-ro, 101-ho, Seo-gu, Incheon, South Korea, a 6-minute walk from Exit 6 of Seoknam Station. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:50 with last order at 21:00, and offers delivery, takeout, reservations, group seating, and parking.
For parking, you get 2 hours free at the Gangnam Market public lot, but you can also park right in front of the restaurant if there's space. It's close to the station too, so public transit works fine^^
How much do you save with the lunch special at Haemokjeong Seoknam?
Haemokjeong Seoknam's lunch special is an amazing deal — you can get octopus, baby octopus, and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) for a really great price. Even from outside, the restaurant looks huge and spotless.
The price changes once lunchtime is over, so go for lunch if you can!!

This is also the kind of place with seafood and galbijjim perfect for a drink at dinner — the cool, smooth slushy-style cream makgeolli and minari (water dropwort) shrimp pancake sound absolutely mouthwatering!!

And here's the thing — ordering these delicious dishes as a set lets you try a variety of things and gives you even better value for money!!

Inside Haemokjeong Seoknam: group seating and dining with kids
Arriving before opening hours at this Seoknam Station lunch spot, Haemokjeong^^

The restaurant was already spotlessly arranged, spacious and comfortable, with high ceilings that made the whole place feel really open.
Group tables and seating for families are all neatly arranged, making it perfect for a company dinner too. And there's even a solo menu for people eating alone — such a nice touch!!

The view through the floor-to-ceiling windows is refreshing too.
The kitchen in the back is just as clean and tidy, without a speck of dust.

Baby seats and dessert coffee, all ready to go.

With 2 hours free at the Gangnam Market public parking lot, you can enjoy your meal with total peace of mind^^
Save the place and write a review on Naver Place and you get 3 extra pieces of fried squid — definitely worth it!!
Such a great place to come on your birthday!! They give you seaweed soup, and little events like this always touch customers so much^^

Spice levels at Haemokjeong Seoknam and what the writer ordered
Haemokjeong Seoknam lets you choose your spice level in stages, so since some of us couldn't handle spicy food, we went with medium — about as spicy as Shin Ramyun. After ordering, we waited while reading up on the best way to enjoy the dish^^

Haemokjeong, this Seoknam Station lunch favorite, has main dishes like seafood galbijjim, seafood jjim, abalone seafood hot pot, boneless monkfish jjim, and spicy pork galbijjim, and—

the lunch special is such a steal — you can get kalguksu, baby octopus, octopus, and even pork cutlet for the kids, all at great value.

What comes in Haemokjeong Set B for 45,000 won?
Haemokjeong Set B is ₩45,000, with rice at ₩1,000 x 2. It's a hearty spread with spicy pork galbi, mushroom kalguksu, and 2 pieces of fried squid.

On the side came pickled chili peppers, well-fermented baekkimchi (white kimchi), chives and potato, and perilla leaves for wrapping.
A refreshing, tangy cold salad of cheonsachae (glass-noodle-like seaweed strands).
The fried squid included in the set is fantastic sliced up and dipped in the spicy pork galbi sauce — pure gold!!

How long do you boil the mushroom kalguksu (knife-cut noodles)?
The spicy, tangy mushroom kalguksu comes piled high with minari and mushrooms. Just put it on the burner and let it boil hard for 2 minutes before eating.

Check out the video of the mushroom kalguksu boiling away, the fully cooked spicy pork galbi, and the neatly arranged side dishes^^
I boiled it for 2 minutes but the noodles seemed a bit undercooked, so I gave it 2 more minutes. The broth is spicy and sharp.

Scooped into a small bowl and enjoyed^^ Truly spicy and tangy — perfect as a hangover cure too!!

How did the spicy pork galbijjim taste?
The star of today's meal at this Seoknam Station lunch spot, Haemokjeong — look at that spicy pork galbi! It comes fully cooked and ready to eat right away, which was so convenient, and the minari on top makes it look even more appetizing and vibrant.

The spicy rice cakes were nice and chewy,
and the pork galbi comes with the whole bone still in.
The crispy fried squid, dipped in the spicy sauce, tastes rich and nutty with zero greasiness^^
The tender meat practically falls right off the bone with just a touch. It's aged so well that it's completely clean and mild, with no gamey smell at all.

It's delicious just eaten plain like this, but—
piling the meat with sauce, cheonsachae, and chives on top is even better!! I wanted to make flying fish roe fried rice with the leftover sauce after finishing the meat, but the portions were bigger than expected and I was completely full — such a shame. Next time, fried rice for sure!!

Is Haemokjeong Seoknam open during the Chuseok holiday?
This Seoknam Station lunch spot Haemokjeong will be open as usual this Chuseok, which is great news for anyone staying in town over the holiday. With its spotless, spacious, comfortable interior, friendly service, a wide variety of delicious food, and convenient parking, it's absolutely worth a visit^^
