Looking for a buffet the whole family would enjoy this weekend, I heard the menu at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a family-meal favorite in Nowon, had been upgraded recently, so I paid a visit.

From sashimi to sushi, warm hot dishes and newly launched premium items, it was a genuinely satisfying meal, and I'm here to give you the full rundown.

Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and where do you park?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch sits on the 6th floor of the Seoul Onchun Building, alongside Terrarium Seoul. It's about a 14-minute walk from Hagye Station, or you can transfer to a bus at Hagye Station and get off at the Seoul Onchun stop for an easier route.

If you're driving, note that the Seoul Onchun Building offers 2 hours of free parking!

Take the elevator up to the 6th floor!

Step off the elevator and you're right at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch. There's a Catch Table waiting kiosk out front too, so if there's a line, I'd recommend registering right away!

Out front, signs advertising the free unlimited draft beer event and a new raw salmon sashimi menu got me even more excited 🎉

Weekend price of 35,900 won and how to book Kuu Kuu

Adult pricing at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is 27,900 won for weekday lunch (before 5pm), 31,900 won for weekday dinner (after 5pm), and 35,900 won on weekends and holidays. Dining time is 2 hours by default, cut to 1 hour 30 minutes if there are people waiting.

💡 Weekend visit & reservation tip I visited at 1:30pm on a weekend, and the place was packed with a wait during weekend lunch hours. But since I'd booked ahead through Naver, I was seated right away without waiting! If you're planning a weekend visit, I'd strongly recommend a Naver reservation.

By around 2pm, the crowd had thinned out a bit and things got noticeably more relaxed.

Inside the 300-pyeong hall: group rooms and the kids' café

Walking in, the clean, comfortable interior in natural wood and white tones caught my eye right away! With over 300 pyeong of space, it felt wide open and airy ✨

There's room-style group seating that fits 40 to 60 people minimum, plus fully private spaces for groups of 50, 80, or even 300. There's also a kids' café right beside the rooms, worth noting!

With all that roomy, comfortable space, it looked like a great pick for a Nowon family gathering or a company dinner ☺️

Restrooms are near the front of the store, separated for men and women!

Unlimited free draft beer at Kuu Kuu Nowon

Let's get into the sushi buffet at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch! The spacious layout has everything from sushi and sashimi to warm dishes and desserts, all laid out in a huge variety.

🍻 Unlimited free draft beer event The unlimited draft beer station I'd seen advertised out front was the first thing that caught my eye. At Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, you can enjoy unlimited Terra and Kelly draft beer! Writing a review gets you the equivalent of 5,900 won in unlimited draft beer for free, so it's a great pick if you want to pair your meal with beer.

Norwegian raw salmon sashimi and the upgraded sushi counter

Heading over to the sushi and sashimi corner at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, I found it full of newly launched and upgraded items.

🐟 Norway raw salmon sashimi (weekday dinner & weekend/holiday) The Norwegian raw salmon sashimi advertised out front! You can enjoy fresh, tender raw salmon sashimi to your heart's content, unlimited. This menu isn't even available at Kuu Kuu Gold, the brand's premium location, so it felt like a real perk of the Nowon branch.

🍣 Upgraded flounder sushi & salmon sushi The fish slices were noticeably bigger than before! Each bite delivered a satisfying mouthful of flounder and salmon texture. The fish was fresh and turned over quickly, so I kept getting sushi in great condition.

🍤 Upgraded shrimp sushi Beyond flounder and salmon, the shrimp sushi got an upgrade too! It now uses botan shrimp, prized for its rich, sweet flavor, which took both the quality and taste up a notch.

Lamb chops, smoked duck and the hot dish corner

The hot dish corner was also well restocked and served nice and warm throughout, which I appreciated.

🍗 New: lamb chops & smoked duck The newly launched lamb chops are tender, juicy and full of flavor, available all day! The smoked duck has a chewy texture and a clean taste that pairs well with any vegetable or sauce — you'll find it on the weekday dinner & weekend/holiday menu.

There's also guobaorou (sweet and sour pork), doganitang (ox knee bone soup), assorted fried items and grilled dishes, giving you plenty of variety to pick from based on your taste.

There's a good range of drinks to enjoy alongside the food too. Lots of slushy flavors, which the kids absolutely loved!

Dessert corner: marble ice cream now served all day

Can't skip the dessert corner, the highlight of any buffet! Freshly made warm waffles, a variety of fruit, and baked goods are all on offer. There's also chocolate fondue for the chocolate lovers 🍫

What made me especially happy was the unlimited marble ice cream 🍨 It used to be a dinner and weekend-only item, but now it's served all day!

Banana splits, rainbow toppings — desserts kids love, so I'd guess this is a huge hit with children during family outings. I went back for seconds and thirds, feeling like a kid again myself 😋

From the first plate to dessert: how did Kuu Kuu taste?

Here's our very first plate! The raw salmon sashimi I was most excited about turned out even better than expected — thoroughly satisfying. The rich, fatty flavor of the fresh raw salmon melted smoothly in my mouth.

The upgraded flounder and salmon sushi really showed off the freshness of the fish, and the rice portion wasn't excessive, so you could really taste the fish itself. The yellowtail sushi was excellent too! Quality that could rival a proper sushi specialty restaurant.

Beyond the sushi, the doganitang that warmed you up from the inside, along with the freshly grilled lamb chops and smoked duck, all had clean flavors — the whole family ate until we were full ☺️

And our final dessert plate! Ending with waffles and an Americano combo was lovely. The marble ice cream was so good even as an adult that I went back for it several times 😋

A spacious, comfortable space, high-quality raw salmon sashimi and an upgraded sushi lineup, free draft beer service, and marble ice cream to top it off! With plenty of options to satisfy everyone from small kids to grandparents, this was a satisfying meal at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a favorite for family gatherings in Nowon.
