In short
Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant in a food alley a 3-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch: outdoor Korean BBQ in Nonhyeon-dong
Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch is a 24-hour thin-sliced pork belly restaurant in the Nonhyeon-dong food alley. The evening breeze has been so nice lately it felt like a waste to sit indoors. So my kid and I headed out for some outdoor-dining vibes and delicious pork belly at this Nonhyeon-dong BBQ spot!

It's a thin-sliced pork belly place where you can enjoy that outdoor-seating feel at a reasonable price, but cheap doesn't mean the quality suffers — they use premium Duroc pork, so you get to taste the real thing.

Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch is a 3-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station, and it's also a quick walk from Yeongdong Market!
The exterior and the outdoor BBQ tables

The open outdoor tables catch your eye right from the entrance — the lighting is pretty and there's an energy to it that got me excited even before stepping inside!
Inside Daepae Market: interior and group seating
Wow... true to its reputation as a famous Nonhyeon-dong BBQ spot, the inside was packed with customers too! The interior space is spacious with proper group seating, so plenty of people were there for company dinners or gatherings.
We didn't get an outdoor table exactly, but the store's window was wide open, letting in a refreshingly cool evening breeze from outside. With zero stuffiness, it really refreshed the mood, and somehow eating with a cool breeze on my face made the meat taste even better!

What's in the 2,000 won self-serve bar?
I also checked out the self-serve bar, available for ₩2,000 per person. The wrap greens like lettuce and perilla leaves were all fresh without a single wilted leaf, and the kimchi, bean sprouts, bracken fern, mushrooms, and corn cheese were all neatly stocked. Everyone was grabbing sides to grill along with the meat, so we did the same — bean sprouts, kimchi, bracken fern, and more kimchi to grill up!
What we ordered at Daepae Market

We ordered Jeju heritage pork belly 200g, 360-hour dry-aged pork neck 200g, premium Duroc chestnut pork belly 200g, savory perilla oil noodles, and soft tofu egg custard.

When you order, they slice it fresh on the spot with an in-house meat slicer. It's a completely different level from the usual frozen thin-sliced pork that's been frozen so long all the moisture is gone! The color alone tells you it's moist and fresh!
Grilling it together with the kimchi, bean sprouts, bracken fern, and enoki mushrooms from the self-serve bar was so good!
Jeju heritage pork belly and 360-hour dry-aged pork neck
The Jeju heritage pork belly really has that signature chewy texture of Jeju pork alive in every bite!
The 360-hour dry-aged pork neck has gone through aging, so there's zero off-smell and it's clean-tasting. Pork neck usually gets dry easily, but this was tender.

You know how good it is when enoki mushrooms soak up all that savory oil dripping from the meat and get grilled crispy? Ugh, writing this is making me want it again.

Eating it with kimchi grilled in the pork fat is a flavor explosion!
Best cut: Duroc chestnut-fed pork belly, 4,900 won per 100g

Everything at Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch was delicious, but the reason I'm recommending this thin-sliced pork belly is that it's the cheapest item and it's still delicious! Honestly, since it was so cheap I worried it might be underwhelming and added it to the order last, but it was so good! Being Duroc breed, it had a tender, savory flavor. The price of ₩4,900 was almost unbelievable — the juices burst out and it was so savory.

Sides: perilla oil noodles and soft tofu egg custard
The savory perilla oil noodles are a fantastic side to pair with the meat while eating. The chewy noodles and the nutty aroma of perilla oil go so well with the thin-sliced pork belly!
The soft tofu egg custard was salty-savory, warm, and soft, and eating it in between bites of meat made for a great combination!
Is Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon worth a visit with a child?
With the cool evening breeze these days, this is a place where you can really soak up that outdoor-dining vibe while getting both value and quality meat, and I could see why it's so packed with customers. Getting to eat Duroc pork at such a reasonable price, plus being open 24 hours, is a huge plus. Definitely recommend it for grabbing delicious thin-sliced pork belly with friends or coworkers for a mood boost!
