Goyang garden café with fresh melon latte: Baedagol Bakery House

A spacious garden bakery café in Wondang, Goyang

Today, I visited Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) in Wondang, Goyang—a place I went to right away because the garden looked sooo pretty in photos.

It is located at 123 Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is more convenient to visit by car than by public transportation, but there are dedicated parking lots in front of and across from the café, with free parking for reportedly more than 50 cars. The lot was spacious enough that even families visiting on weekends probably would not have to worry too much about parking~ We parked in Lot 3, and there were so many pear trees beside it~! It was my first time seeing pear trees, so I thought they were fascinating hahaha.

Even from the outside, it felt like I had come to visit a large European villa. I loved the clean, relaxing atmosphere created by the white exterior walls~!

What are the garden and indoor seats like?

But what I really loved about this café was the garden spread out in front of it. It was full of lush green plants, and everything felt so well cared for. Haha, somehow the air even seemed better, and looking at the plants made me feel relaxed inside, too. It was lovely to stroll around the garden slowly. The garden is so pretty that I will share more photos later haha. Baedagol Bakery House has indoor seating on both the first and second floors, plus a second-floor terrace and a spacious outdoor garden.

The interior had a luxurious, calm mood, and it actually made me think that next time I would like to come alone, have a coffee, and just zone out haha. As soon as I entered, the gentle smell of bread filled the air—it really was a Goyang bakery café.

Fresh melon seasonal drinks and the bread we ordered

Looking at the menu, there were all kinds of drinks as well as coffee. This place seems to make a wide range of desserts using seasonal fruits such as fresh melon, mango, and strawberries. When I visited, it was fresh melon season, so there were many melon items: fresh melon Warrage latte, ade, and snowflake bingsu (shaved ice dessert) piled high with fresh melon 🍈 Next time, I definitely want to try a different seasonal fruit menu, too~! We ordered an iced fresh melon Warrage latte, iced latte, mocha, and hazelnut red bean butter bread.

The coffee smelled refined and felt smooth. Rather than simply being bitter, it had a deep flavor, and it was even nicer while looking out at this pretty view. The mocha latte was delicious, too, with a really premium chocolate-like taste!

The melon latte was so sweet and delicious! It tasted packed with melon haha. It was so good that I finished every drop.

The bread was soft rather than dry or stale-tasting. The buttery aroma was especially pronounced, so it paired well with the coffee. As you would expect from a bakery café, there was also a wide variety of breads, and I want to try others next time. There were private room spaces for sitting separately as well, so it looked like a nice place for family gatherings, dates, or a visit with your parents. The menu seems to change with the seasons, so I think I will come back often for seasonal fruit items. Above all, the atmosphere was exactly my taste—I absolutely loved it!

A lovely place to explore the garden with children

As I mentioned above, let me introduce the café garden a little more. It is really spacious, and there is even an area where children can play in sand~! There were quite a few guests, but the garden was so large that it still felt peaceful.
