Yangyang barbecue restaurant with a baby chair for ribs: Yeoyejeong
In short
Yeoyejeong is a charcoal barbecue restaurant on Ssangsolbaegi-gil in Seo-myeon, Yangyang, Gangwon. Visiting with a 7-month-old baby, the writer ordered two servings of fresh ribs, one serving of marinated ribs and Yeojeong naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) for 59,000 won in total, and the baby chair plus roomy parking made the meal easy. Yeoyejeong suits families with babies who prefer a local, low-key meat restaurant to a touristy one.

We were craving meat during our Yangyang trip, so my husband and I took our little one to Yeoyejeong (여여정)!
It had a slightly quieter vibe than the bustling restaurants near the tourist areas, and as soon as we got to the front, it gave off this strong old-school local favorite kind of feeling.

Parking and waiting at Yeoyejeong in Yangyang
When we went, we got seated right away with no wait, and there was plenty of parking space too, so it was easy.

The interior had a lot of woody vibes and was bigger than I expected. I liked that the tables weren't packed too close together, haha.

One wall was covered densely with drawings and notes left by customers, which was fun to look through. One note in particular warmed my heart so I took a photo of it — seems like a kid really loved this place. It gave off that feeling of a restaurant beloved by the neighborhood for a long time!

Is Yeoyejeong okay with a 7-month-old baby?
We went with our 7-month-old baby, and since Yeoyejeong had a baby chair ready, we could sit her down comfortably and eat. When you're raising a baby, whether a restaurant has a baby chair matters more than you'd think, and this was a comfortable place to dine with a baby along.
What we ordered at Yeoyejeong, and the prices

The meat prices are pretty great, right? We ordered marinated ribs, Yeojeong naengmyeon, and fresh ribs.
- Fresh ribs (2 servings) ₩34,000
- Yeojeong naengmyeon ₩5,000
- Marinated ribs ₩18,000
- Drink ₩2,000
- Total ₩59,000!

The basic side dishes came out neat and simple, mostly things that go well with meat. Salt, ssamjang (dipping paste), and wasabi were served separately so you could mix and match to your taste, and lettuce and chives came out too.

All the side dishes were good, but the lettuce especially was super fresh. Felt like the owner put a lot of care into every little thing.
Charcoal fresh ribs, 2 servings: how big is the portion?

You have to grill the meat yourself over charcoal! We started with the fresh ribs, and the smell alone was insane, TT. The portion was huge too, even though it's just 2 servings.

My mouth is watering again just writing this, TT. Maybe because it was grilled over charcoal, it was crispy yet tender with the juices bursting out. Dipping it in the chive sauce was fantastic. Picking the meat off the bone especially made me so happy. 🤤🤤

Adding one serving of marinated ribs
Next up, we added 1 serving of marinated ribs! Putting the sweetly marinated pork ribs on the charcoal, the smell alone made me want to eat them right away. Marinated ribs really do taste best grilled over charcoal, TT. Cooked through properly, they were tender and sweet enough to make you scrunch your face up from how good it was. Grilling this while traveling just made it taste even better somehow, haha.

Yeojeong naengmyeon, 5,000 won, recommended by the staff
And of course, you can't have meat without naengmyeon (cold noodles). There were lots of side menu options like noodles and naengmyeon, so we asked the staff for a recommendation. They suggested the Yeojeong naengmyeon, so we ordered it! At ₩5,000, the price was great too. As expected, the staff's pick was spot on.
It's cold-noodle in a chilled broth topped with seasoning sauce, egg, and radish, and eating it alongside a piece of charcoal-grilled marinated ribs was just perfect. Cutting through the ribs with a cool bite every so often cleaned up the palate — this combo never fails, TT.

We were looking for a restaurant to visit with our baby, and this one made it easy to eat comfortably from the start thanks to the convenient parking and the baby chair.

Yeoyejeong's prize draw and final thoughts
There was also a prize draw event going on, which was fun lol. First prize is a ₩50,000 meal voucher!!! Make sure to leave a review and try to join in, haha.
Getting seated with no wait was great, and the prices were more reasonable than I expected — Yeoyejeong, a Yangyang favorite! If you like the vibe of a laid-back local spot for grilling meat over a touristy feel, I'd really, really recommend it.
