Changwon Korean BBQ with baseball viewing: Gogit-ri 88beonji
In short
Gogit-ri 88beonji is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, serving two-week-aged pork alongside baseball broadcasts. I enjoyed the pre-grilled Gogit-ri Assorted Set A, especially the juicy pork neck, pork belly, and gabrisal with its many sauces. Verdict: a great pick for baseball cheering, group dinners, or dates.

There was a pork BBQ place that looked like it had only just opened, so I went to check it out~ It is Gogit-ri 88beonji, a place I can confidently call a great Sangnam-dong Korean BBQ spot~ I thought it was simply a restaurant with good group seating and a big screen for baseball, but the juices in its two-week-aged pork were absolutely insane, enough to make it a true Sangnam-dong favorite....
What about parking and hours?
There is hardly anywhere to park in front of the restaurant; park at Real Parking Lot instead.

Being open until 3 a.m. is seriously wild....... It is perfect for anyone who wants to eat and drink all night. They support two hours at Real Parking Lot too, so there is absolutely no need to worry if you bring a car!!

Baseball viewing and group-dinner space
The moment I walked in, the spacious, pleasant setting put me in such a good mood. I could especially see why this place is called a great Changwon spot for watching baseball! There are two huge 85-inch TVs inside, so you can watch the game vividly while eating meat.

With all the roomy seating, it looks like it would be very popular with people looking for a Changwon company-dinner venue too.

Cheering together at the top of your lungs in such a comfortable setting would totally melt the stress away.

There is also a well-prepared private group room farther inside, so it looks great for a group dinner.

The owner looked a little young, and fitting that vibe, there were photo spots here and there. The restaurant is quite neat, so I recommend it as a place to make memories on a date too, haha.

Menu and table setting
First, here is the menu. I was surprised that there were more kinds of meat than I expected! If I come again, I am definitely trying hangjeongsal (pork jowl)... And although it was not on the menu, they also sold makchang (grilled pork intestine). What we ordered today was Gogit-ri Assorted Set A.

Here is the basic table setting. They prepare so many sauces and side dishes to eat with the meat!! The fact that there was myeongran (seasoned pollock roe) alone gets an immediate massive pass from me.

At a place with such a variety of sauces, there naturally has to be a guide on how to eat everything deliciously.

How was Gogit-ri Assorted Set A?
The biggest draw at this great Sangnam-dong Korean BBQ restaurant is, of course, the meat itself!! They use pork aged with care for two weeks, then serve it pre-grilled, so it is incredibly easy to eat.....

At Korean BBQ restaurants, you are often so busy grilling that you cannot properly talk, but here it arrives pre-grilled. You just cook it a little more and eat it right away, which was so nice. Maybe because it is grilled over charcoal briquettes, a subtle smoky aroma soaks right into the meat—such amazing savory flavor!
Juicy pork neck
First, the pork neck was full of juices, spreading rich flavor through my mouth with every bite. As you would expect from a great Sangnam-dong spot, I could really tell the meat quality was on another level.

As written on the wall, I recommend enjoying it in lots of ways with the various sauces... haha. The meat itself is excellent, but there are so many sauces to pair with it that eating is really fun. Picking and dipping according to my mood meant there was no chance at all of getting tired of the meat.....

Firm pork belly and chewy gabrisal
The fat on the samgyeopsal (pork belly) was firm rather than mushy; it popped as I bit into it and the juices burst out. Just unbelievably delicious!!

The gabrisal (pork neck-end cut) was chewy without being tough, with such a lively texture.

If someone asks me to recommend a great Sangnam-dong Korean BBQ restaurant, I think this will be the very first place I mention. I really liked the convenient parking support too... The facilities were pleasant and the staff were kind, so it seems like it would be great to visit for a company dinner later on~~
