Prime galbi on the grill at Minine Gogi Nakwon

Today I went out for a hearty and delicious meal with my kid. You know how it is when you go to a Korean BBQ place with a child — juggling the grill and cooking the meat all at once, no time to breathe. This time I went to a place with great meat quality and, on top of that, easy grilling that made for a really pleasant meal: Minine Gogi Nakwon, a well-known restaurant in Geumchon, Paju.

Where is Minine Gogi Nakwon and when is it open?

Minine Gogi Nakwon is located at 23 Beonyeong-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open daily from 12:00 to 24:00, until 22:00 on Sundays, and has its own parking lot. It also offers reservations, group dining, Wi-Fi, high chairs, and a waiting area.

First impressions of the Geumchon storefront

As soon as I arrived, a big signboard and banners caught my eye — all-you-can-eat charcoal chicken galbi (grilled marinated chicken), cod tripe, pork belly, and more, 12 types of meat total. Prices start at ₩19,500.

Restaurant exterior with an all-you-can-eat banner

In these high-inflation times, I thought this place was such a great deal. Inside, it was spacious and comfortable, with partitions dividing each table for a relaxed meal. Food items are ordered through a tablet at each table, but for the all-you-can-eat menu, the owner brings you the menu directly.

Spacious interior divided by partitions

This place runs on a self-serve system, cutting labor costs and putting that savings straight into the meat. That means better quality meat than most all-you-can-eat spots. All the ingredients are trimmed in-house, and they even age the marinated cuts, which built up my trust before I even took a bite. The time limit is 120 minutes on weekdays and 100 minutes on weekends.

The dedicated meat-aging fridge

On one side of the restaurant, meat was aging inside a dedicated fridge. You could see just how serious the owner is about the meat — it's immediately clear why this place is loved as a Geumchon favorite.

What comes in Set 3 at Minine Gogi Nakwon?

Minine Gogi Nakwon has a regular set, Set 2, and Set 3 — we ordered Set 3 today, the ultimate meat champion. It includes everything from Set 1 (12 special cuts of pork/chicken) and Set 2 (18 cuts including beef like woo samgyeop, chadolbagi, and LA galbi), plus prime galbi, beef intestines, and scallops for a total of 21 items — a premium set. Being able to eat prime galbi and beef intestines all-you-can-eat is pretty amazing, right?

Why the half-charcoal, half-plate grill works with kids

Real dedication to meat, and a perfectly designed split grill. Here are the star menu items from our Set 3 — see that gorgeous prime galbi with the thick bone attached? And right next to it, scallops sitting neatly on the side.

One reason it was great to bring my kid here was the grill setup. They thoughtfully split the grill into two sections — one side is a grate for direct charcoal grilling, and the other is a coated plate that drains the fat without burning. Thanks to this setup, we got to enjoy the meat without any dramatic open-flame flare-ups.

Prime short ribs that melt in your mouth

We put the prime galbi on one side and started with woo samgyeop and chadolbagi on both sides as an appetizer. You absolutely have to try the prime galbi. The thick cut cooks gently over the charcoal, and once it's done like a steak and you put it in your mouth, it just melts. This isn't the quality you'd typically find at an all-you-can-eat BBQ place — this is clearly a proper meat specialist. The meat was so fresh, no gamy smell at all, and it tasted incredible.

Scallops off the charcoal grate

The scallops were delicious too. Imagine the savory juice of the meat and the salty, clean seafood flavor of the scallops hitting your mouth at the same time — so appealing.

Charcoal chicken galbi, my child's pick

My kid wanted charcoal chicken galbi, so we grilled that next. It's made with chicken thigh meat, so it stayed moist. It wasn't dry at all and went down easily.

What's on the self-serve side dish bar

A neat and generous self-serve bar. The side dishes that go with meat were hygienically prepared at the self-serve bar — sliced onions, scallion salad, pickled radish, kimchi, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and more, which we brought back to the table to pair with the meat.

Getting to Minine Gogi Nakwon and what sets it apart

This is a premium all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant located in Geumchon, Paju. The interior is spacious and comfortable. I'd recommend it for family meals or group dinners.

A standout Set 3. Not your typical pork belly or chicken galbi buffet — this menu lets you enjoy premium ingredients like prime galbi, beef intestines, and scallops, 21 types total, unlimited, for incredible value.

A smart grill system. The charcoal direct-fire grill and coated plate are split in half. Fatty cuts like beef intestines or chadolbagi cook on the plate without burning, while the prime galbi gets that charcoal flavor on the direct-fire side — safe and delicious grilling all around.

The restaurant's fair-price philosophy

This is a place that saves on labor costs and invests 100% into meat quality. All the meat is trimmed in-house and aged, which is why they're known for outstanding freshness and flavor. If you want to enjoy delicious meat with your child comfortably and eat until you're stuffed, visit Minine Gogi Nakwon, a Geumchon favorite. You'll fall for the friendly service and excellent meat. Next time, I should bring my parents and go for Set 3 again.
