How I chose a Brazilian waxing salon near Gangnam Station

Hours are 11 AM to 9 PM, and until 7 PM on weekends. It is a three-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 1, at the second floor of Hyosung Harrington Tower, 15 Gangnam-daero 84-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. There is also one hour of free parking in the building.

How to get to the Gangnam Station waxing salon

I go swimming, so I get Brazilian waxing regularly. After comparing several Gangnam Station waxing reviews, I chose Nu Waxing & Brow (누왁싱 앤 브로우) based on two things: treatment time and hygiene facilities.

I had received Brazilian waxing a few times before, but every time it took a long time and the pain left me feeling drained. Before booking, I also looked into about two other nearby waxing salons. One had similar prices, but the rooms were separated only by partitions rather than being private, so I worried about privacy. At the other, the waxer's experience seemed relatively short, so I did not think I could expect ingrown-hair care as well.

Nu Waxing & Brow has operated since 2014, and every waxer has more than 10 years of treatment experience. It has one private room per client, plus an individual shower. Among Gangnam waxing salons, it is not common to find one with a private shower inside the room, and that was why I picked this place.

It was easy to reach, just three minutes on foot from Gangnam Station Exit 1, and the building offers one hour of free parking, so bringing a car did not feel burdensome either.

Face, body, and Brazilian waxing are available for both men and women, and simultaneous treatments are even possible, making it a nice place to come with a partner or friends. Lash lifts, skin makeup, and pedi planning are available too.

You can even receive a Brazilian wax and lash lift at the same time. The basic Gangnam Brazilian treatment was ₩50,000, and special care costs an additional ₩20,000, though I did not add it. I heard that premium-care service is included when receiving a simultaneous Brazilian treatment, so that is useful to keep in mind.

I booked ahead through Naver Booking, so I went straight into the room without any wait.

My 15–20 minute all-nude Brazilian waxing experience in Gangnam

First of all, the waxer's hands were seriously fast. My all-nude Brazilian wax was done in 15–20 minutes, yet even at that pace, they did not miss the ingrown hairs and cleaned them up thoroughly.

I heard they use premium wax, and the pulling was definitely quick and brief. It stung, but it was bearable. Before and after the wax, I could wash up immediately in the private shower inside the room after the treatment, which was convenient because there was no need to move anywhere. They finished by applying a soothing mask, so everything felt neatly wrapped up.

Before the treatment, I was always worried that red irritation would remain after waxing, but once the mask care was done, most of the redness had gone down. The short treatment time and finishing care made it feel noticeably less taxing on my body.

There are probably many nearby office workers looking for waxing around Gangnam Station. Since the treatment takes only 15–20 minutes, you could pop in during lunch without it affecting your afternoon work. Being able to get treated quickly and head straight home after work without worrying about finishing late was also quite a big advantage from a worker's perspective.

For office workers who want a short appointment but thorough care among Gangnam Station waxing salons, Nu Waxing & Brow is worth adding to the Gangnam Brazilian waxing list.
