Lately I've been sick of doing my eyelash curler every single morning, and no matter how hard I press my lashes up, they droop back down by afternoon — so I went and got a lash lift haha. This time I visited Iyo Shop, a lash salon near Gongdeok Station!

When I get a lash lift, I'm not really into the subtle, slightly-lifted natural look. I prefer the style where the lashes lift straight from the root so they're clearly visible when you look at me head-on. So I asked for as much lift as possible again this time, and spoiler — I was completely satisfied haha.

It's close to Gongdeok Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit. It's also inside a building, so it seems like a good option to visit when the weather isn't great. A convenient spot if you're looking for a lash lift around Gongdeok or Mapo!

How high did the lash lift go from the root?

The treatment was done lying down comfortably, and right after it was done I checked the mirror. I loved it the moment I saw it lol.

Exactly as I wanted, my lashes lifted straight from the root!! It wasn't an in-between lift where I'd feel like reaching for the curler again at home — my lashes were clearly visible from the front, and I loved that. If you're like me and love lashes with a strong, obvious presence, you'll know exactly what I mean haha.

Even with such a strong lift, the lashes weren't sticking out messily in every direction — they were lifted neatly and evenly overall, which I liked even more. The curl is more visible from the side, but when I open my eyes, the lashes are lifted straight up, and my eyes definitely looked more defined.

What changes in your morning makeup after a lash lift

The best part of a lash lift is definitely at makeup time! Since the curl is already set without needing a separate curler, it cuts down morning prep time, and even just a light coat of mascara should make the lashes stand out a lot more. I especially prefer a definite lift over an ambiguous one, so this result made me even happier.

Comparing the before and after makes the difference even clearer! Before, my lashes weren't very visible from the front — after, they lifted straight up and my whole eye shape looked more defined along with it. This is exactly why once you start getting lash lifts, you keep coming back lol. This time especially, the strong lift I wanted turned out exactly right, so I was very satisfied.
