A place like this in Cheongdam-dong? A terrace dining bar with such a great vibe that every photo comes out like a keeper! Cool air, soft lighting, and a pretty terrace~ Add delicious food and wine, and the mood was absolutely perfect.

Let me introduce this seriously gorgeous dining bar in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam!

What is the atmosphere like at People the Terrace?
If you are looking for a spot for a date, blind date, or birthday party, save this one! People the Terrace (피플더테라스), a Cheongdam-dong restaurant—are you really not going to go after this? Hahaha.
There is also a space for birthday parties. People the Terrace's special birthday package includes balloon décor, a tiara crown, birthday sash, and birthday dessert, with an additional ₩50,000 charge.

The interior is so atmospheric and beautiful that you end up taking photos for ages. It has an overall upscale, exotic feel, with lavish décor and soft lighting that make it feel like an overseas resort or a European-style lounge.
The fountain in the middle especially catches your eye. With the sound of water and the lighting, it feels a little like being at a resort even though you are right in the middle of the city!
The seating comes in more than one style too, from comfortable spots for cocktails or wine to tables suited to a meal with a group. The space is generally roomy and relaxed, so the tables do not feel cramped together. It seemed ideal for a friends' gathering, date, or birthday party—any day when you want to make it feel special.
Once evening comes, the lights turn on and the atmosphere really comes alive. This is definitely a place with even more charm at night than during the day!

Personally, the food was great too, but there are so many photo-worthy spots that anyone who loves a pretty space will probably be very happy here.

The interior is plenty beautiful, but on a nice day, the real charm of People the Terrace is surely the terrace seating! The terrace was just the best for a glass of wine in the cool breeze. We took a seat outside. How does the very heart of Seoul have this kind of mood? It only got better and better as it grew dark.
Wine and Happy Hour menu
Happy Hour on the People the Terrace menu is ₩55,000. It comes with a generous chicken bucket and two glasses, with champagne or wine to choose from. Since we ordered a bottle of wine, we ordered the chicken bucket on its own.

There are also plenty of highballs and pretty cocktails. But above all else, you have to have red wine, right?
Colomé Estate Malbec 2023
A recommended wine for Cheongdam dining, the Colomé Estate Malbec 2023 was ₩140,000. I was deciding between a ₩120,000 and a ₩140,000 red, but because we ordered lots of hearty dishes, I went for the fuller-bodied Malbec! If you want to set the mood properly, I recommend the wine!
This red wine had Malbec's distinctive deep fruit flavors, with a rich, weighty feel right from its color. A staff member opened it and carefully poured each glass, which made us feel properly looked after! Thanks to that, we could enjoy the wine at leisure and the atmosphere felt even more special.

It had flavors in the dark red-fruit family on the palate and moderate tannins, making it easy to drink with food such as chicken and pasta.

Rather than a wine that was simply heavy, it was nice to sip slowly alongside food. Especially with the cool breeze + soft lighting + outdoor terrace combination that day, even one glass of wine made the atmosphere come alive. Is this mood for real? Totally recommended for dates and blind dates!!

It was a deep Malbec red wine that was perfect for enjoying on this lovely Cheongdam terrace.

The food we ordered
Fried Chicken Bucket
The Fried Chicken Bucket was ₩35,000. What a look—you will take dozens of photos! It is a properly American-style bucket of fried chicken from the very presentation. The crispy fried chicken arrived piled generously high, and just seeing it on the table made my mouth water.

The coating was crunchy without being too thick, while the chicken inside was moist and tender, making it a great menu item to enjoy with beer or wine.

The nutty chicken paired with the bright, refreshing sauce, and I kept reaching for more than I expected.

The sauce had onion and chopped pickles in it, and it was tangy and tasty, a little like tzatziki sauce.

It also came with potato chips, so it was an easy dish to share when visiting with a group.

This American-style fried chicken bucket also went well with a cold drink or alcohol on the terrace. There were potato chips underneath the chicken too, so it was fun to pick at crunchy chips while eating the chicken. Chicken and potato chips never fail! Plenty of crispy chicken and chips—a great, no-pressure dish to share with a group.
Burrata Basil Pesto Pasta
The Burrata Basil Pesto Pasta was ₩26,000. It is pasta generously tossed with fresh basil pesto, topped with nutty pistachios and soft burrata cheese. Everyone said it was the most delicious, so satisfaction was high with this one~
First you get the fragrant, fresh flavor distinctive to basil pesto, then when you mix the burrata into the noodles, the cheese adds a soft, creamy richness. Burrata and basil pesto seem to be such a good pairing of herbal aroma and creamy cheese!

Pistachios popped up throughout, adding nutty flavor and texture, so it was much more varied and enjoyable than ordinary basil pesto pasta.

The green basil pesto and white burrata looked beautiful together, making this a perfect dish to enjoy with wine on the terrace. It was a mood-setting pasta with fragrant basil pesto, soft burrata, and nutty pistachios.
Mushroom Cream Tartufo & Steak Risotto
The Mushroom Cream Tartufo & Steak Risotto was ₩33,000. It is risotto with assorted sautéed mushrooms in porcini mushroom cream, topped with generous pieces of Korean beef 1++ grade steak. The risotto itself was nutty and soft, combining the mushrooms' deep, rich flavor with a creamy sauce. Add the well-cooked Korean beef steak, and the mushroom flavor + nutty cream + juicy beef was such a lovely combination.

The risotto was not just overly rich; a gentle mushroom aroma came through, so it was also good with wine. Deep mushroom cream risotto topped with Korean beef 1++ grade steak made for a filling, luxurious dish! Personally, this was the most delicious menu item!!
Shrimp Hot Rosé
The Shrimp Hot Rosé was ₩28,000. This is a spicy rosé pasta made more deeply flavorful with grilled assorted mushrooms and springy shrimp. The smooth, thick rosé sauce had a gentle kick, so it was less cloying than cream sauces can be and had me coming back for more.

The shrimp kept their springy texture, while the grilled mushrooms added a subtle charred aroma and savory flavor that paired well with the sauce.

Especially when you picked up shrimp and mushrooms together with the noodles, you got the chewy texture and nutty, spicy flavor all at once, which was so good.

It also paired well with wine~ Somehow, the pasta tasted even better eaten on a terrace with such a lovely atmosphere.
Parking and final thoughts
Parking at People the Terrace is ₩5,000 regardless of duration, with an additional ₩5,000 valet fee.
Overall, the food at People the Terrace was good, but the space itself is what stayed with me. I especially loved being able to enjoy such a relaxed outdoor terrace right in the heart of Cheongdam-dong. During the day, you can enjoy its exotic, glamorous mood, and as the sun sets and the lights begin to turn on one by one, it transforms into a different atmosphere altogether—so I especially recommend an evening visit.

It is a great place to relax over a glass of wine and conversation on the terrace, and because the atmosphere is so pretty, it also suits dates, blind dates, birthday parties, and get-togethers with friends!

Still, if you want a glass of wine on a terrace in the cool breeze on a nice day, I would recommend People the Terrace to anyone seeking a terrace restaurant with a great atmosphere in Cheongdam-dong! Personally, the Mushroom Cream Tartufo & Steak Risotto was my favorite dish, while the Burrata Basil Pesto Pasta was the crowd favorite when we all ate together. The photos came out beautifully and the atmosphere was spot-on, so it remains in my memory as a wonderful place for a special day.
One-line verdict: A terrace dining bar in Cheongdam-dong where you can enjoy both atmosphere and flavor.
