Lately I’ve had no appetite and felt a little low on energy, so I was seriously craving a steaming bowl of soup. That’s how I ended up at Cheongdam Mimgye (청담 미미계). They have every kind of chicken dish here, from dak-gomtang (chicken soup) to chogye-guksu (cold chicken noodles) and chicken kalguksu.
It’s a modern Korean restaurant that turns one carefully simmered, milky chicken broth into everything from hot pots to noodle dishes, so it’s honestly perfect for anyone looking for a healthy meal 💛

What to order at Cheongdam Mimgye
To give you the conclusion first:
- For a filling restorative meal, get the half-chicken dak-gomtang ⭐️
- For a day with no appetite, get the tangy mixed chogye-guksu ⭐️
- If you love noodles, get the half-chicken kalguksu ⭐️
- It was a great Cheongdam Station spot for both solo meals and gatherings.
Getting there from Cheongdam Station and useful info
It’s about a five-minute walk from Cheongdam Station! It’s in the alley right beside Cheongdam Neighborhood Park, so it was easy to find even on my first visit.

It’s also walkable from Gangnam-gu Office Station, so lots of people look it up as a Gangnam-gu Office restaurant. The hours are said to be Monday–Saturday 11:00–22:00, closed Sunday, though you should confirm. Seoul Pay is accepted, and you can use the nearby Eonbuk Elementary School public parking lot. It’s ₩300 per 10 minutes.

When I walked in, the wood-toned walls and soft indirect lighting gave it a calm, tidy atmosphere.

There are separate one-person bar tables, so you can eat comfortably alone, and there’s also a room inside for up to 10 people—apparently great for company dinners or family gatherings!

Chicken dishes ordered and customized by tablet

You order from a tablet at each table. Being able to adjust the portion and ingredients yourself was quietly so convenient.

These were the three dishes I had: tangy mixed chogye-guksu, half-chicken dak-gomtang, and half-chicken kalguksu. Since they offer half a chicken rather than a whole one, it was nice for a lighter meal. They also have dakgaejang spicy chicken soup and hot-pot dishes!
👉 TIP: They have soju, beer, makgeolli rice wine, and traditional liquors such as Munbaeju and Ilpum Jinro too.
The half-chicken soup and chogye-guksu combination

The banchan side dishes came out before the mains, and each one was so neatly presented that my expectations immediately went up.

Half-chicken dak-gomtang
The moment the earthenware bowl arrived, there was half a chicken sitting right in that milky broth. I tried a spoonful, and it was clear and clean-tasting.

A little salt and pepper with a piece of the half chicken was just perfect. It felt like restorative food that wasn’t overly heavy.

Half-chicken kalguksu
The milky chicken broth came loaded with kalguksu noodles. The noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the broth clung right to them.

The portion was honestly just right.

Tangy mixed chogye-guksu
Ordering this between two bowls of hot soup was such a brilliant move. The sweet-and-tangy seasoning had a touch of mustard that perked right up at the tip of my nose.
I usually hold back from mixed noodles when I’m watching my diet, but there was plenty of shredded chicken on top, so it felt like I was getting protein too and I could enjoy it with an easy mind.

Alternating a spoonful of dak-gomtang with a bite of chogye-guksu kept it delicious right to the end!!!!
Weekday lunch and corkage tips

👉 Weekday lunch comes with unlimited steamed rice. The unlimited-rice event runs weekdays from 11:00–15:00, so definitely try pouring the dak-gomtang over rice.
👉 For solo dining, go for a one-person bar table.
👉 Corkage is ₩3,000 per glass. You can bring wine, champagne, or spirits, and it’s ₩3,000 per glass regardless of bottle count, so it would be nice to bring a bottle for a dinner gathering.
