Olibus Italian Restaurant🇮🇹, famous in Sejong as a spaghetti spot — I came here for a proper date with just my sister, which we haven't done in ages.

I didn't know beforehand, but once we got here and saw it's a Blue Ribbon place, I felt weirdly proud haha
Inside Olibus: seating, atmosphere and why you should book ahead
The Eojin-dong flagship has 3 tables for 4 and 4 tables for 2. We visited on a weekday at 7pm and it was nearly full🌛 Definitely recommend booking ahead through Naver!

If you reserve and write a review, you can also get a coupon for two ades. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it great for dates, family dinners, or gatherings with friends😼 A place anyone, any age, can visit comfortably.

The pickles sitting there while we eat are so cute🥒

Salad of the month, 17,900 won — piled with garlic shrimp
Olibus's salad of the month is ₩17,900, a hearty shrimp Caesar salad packed with garlic shrimp.

It's loaded with egg, croutons, cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, lettuce, and shrimp. You get crumbly, crunchy, crispy, and moist textures all at once, which makes eating it a real pleasure🥗 The dressing especially was so good we scraped up every last bit left in the bowl.
With two of us ordering three dishes, I worried we'd leave the salad half-eaten, but it was so much tastier than expected that we cleaned the plate🐷 It's great as a light starter before the mains, but honestly this salad alone was satisfying enough on its own.

Sweet shrimp gim pasta, 17,900 won — oil pasta scented with gim (seaweed)
The sweet shrimp gim (dried laver) pasta is ₩17,900, an oil pasta where fragrant gim meets sweet shrimp in perfect harmony. As a card-carrying garlic-loving nation, I appreciated the pretty strong, appetizing smell of minced garlic.
The moist sweet shrimp pairs beautifully with the charming gim🦐 The sweet shrimp's savory sweetness combined with gim's subtle sea aroma gives it even deeper flavor.

The cherry tomatoes' bright acidity cuts through the oil's richness, keeping your palate clean. On top of that, cheese is mixed in too, adding a nutty flavor.

Steak cream risotto, 18,900 won — flat iron steak with chewy brown rice
The steak cream risotto is ₩18,900, a cream-based risotto with onion and garlic scapes, topped with flat iron steak cooked crisp outside, tender inside. Risotto's gotta be thick and creamy to be good🥛
The nutty cheese and creamy risotto flavor is satisfying. Plus, brown rice is mixed in, which makes for a really fun texture.

On top of the rich, smooth cream sauce-soaked risotto sits a steak seared golden outside and moist inside — a hearty, filling dish. The juicy steak pairs well with the grilled garlic scapes too.

Getting to properly enjoy delicious food while having a rare one-on-one date with my sister at Olibus Italian Restaurant🍽️ From salad to pasta to risotto, every dish was great, and the generous salad portion especially stood out.
The place has such a cozy, comfortable atmosphere that I want to come back! If you're looking for a good-vibe Italian restaurant or a tasty pasta spot in Sejong, I recommend Olibus〰️
