Seolleung Station bar with a self-serve snack fridge: 88 Nogari, Seoul
In short
88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch is a beer pub and pocha (Korean street-food bar) on the second floor of a building five minutes' walk from Exit 1 of Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul. The meoktae (dried pollock snack) and boneless monkfish jerky set costs 24,000 won, and drinks and packaged snacks are self-serve from the fridge, so ordering one main dish covers the table rule and makes 88 Nogari an easy second-round stop. With plenty of tables it suits both big work dinners and a quieter window seat.

Why 88 Nogari works for a second round of beers near Seolleung Station
After a solid dinner, I went looking for a Seolleung Station bar for beer that would be easy to swing by for round two, and ended up at 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch. Between the beer-friendly snacks and the low-pressure menu, it works just as well for a date as it does for a group gathering or a work dinner.

How to get to 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch, plus parking
It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Seolleung Station, where Line 2 and the Suin-Bundang Line meet, so it's easy to reach by public transit. If you're driving, note you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot.

Inside 88 Nogari: window seats and the self-serve snack corner
Sitting on the second floor of the building, this is a beer bar through and through — haha. It has a bit of an 8090s retro feel, the kind of spot office workers would drop into without a second thought.

Overall it was a clean, decently sized space with quite a lot of tables. If you're looking for a group bar in Seolleung that can handle a big crowd every once in a while, this feels perfect for going from round one straight into round two.

The window seats will probably be popular with couples. Opening the windows would probably make it even more atmospheric — but it was a bit warm that day, so we went with the air conditioning instead.

One thing that's different from most beer bars near Seolleung Station: you order the little snacks yourself and grab them self-serve. That's what made it fun, I think.

Alcohol, water, drinks, cups — everything in the fridge is self-serve too!! Self-serve!!
Highly recommend 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch as a second-round spot for anyone who hates waiting around.

How did the 24,000-won meoktae and monkfish jerky set taste?
What we ordered at 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch was the gukmyeontae + boneless monkfish jerky set for 24,000 won. The basic snack that came out first was chicken-leg-shaped crackers served as a beer side — haven't had those in a while! Crunch, crunch.

Meoktae (dried pollock snack)
If you want a snack that won't fill you up too much, gukmyeontae, the ultimate in crispiness, is perfect. The aftertaste is clean and nutty, so you keep reaching for more.

That's probably why it's such a popular beer snack near Seolleung Station — I noticed other tables ordering gukmyeontae as their main dish too.

Another draw is the spicy cheongyang chili + soy sauce + mayonnaise dip. I usually don't like how greasy mayo can taste, but this combo has a clean spiciness that's oddly addictive.

Boneless monkfish jerky
Chewy boneless monkfish jerky is also a popular beer snack and general nibble, right? It's the snack I never leave out when camping, so I added it to the set without hesitation.

The hardest part of any group gathering or work dinner is picking the menu. But with such a varied lineup and easy-to-grab self-serve snacks, this feels like a comfortable choice for a group bar in Seolleung.

The vibe was nice and the staff were friendly, so it was easy to settle in — and best of all, I got to chat away while drinking cold beer. The music was just upbeat enough without being overwhelming, which made it comfortable to stay.

Even just one beer can bring on decision fatigue over the snacks, but 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch is the kind of place I'd think of whenever I just want to chat with a friend.

Final verdict on 88 Nogari Seolleung Main Branch
From dried-fish snacks like gukmyeontae and nogari to tteokbokki, golbaengi salad, fried gizzards, and easygoing snacks — I doubt there's another beer bar near Seolleung Station with this much variety and fun packed in.
Whether you visit as a pair or a bigger group, 88 Nogari is easy to enjoy either way — highly recommended when you want to chat over drinks or are stuck deciding on a group bar in Seolleung.
