Gangnam party room for a 7-person cocktail birthday: Fluttering Box

I had another birthday party‼️ (Her birthday party that never ends.....)

They say a princess's birthday lasts a whole month, right? Haha. This time I wanted to hang out with friends somewhere a little different, so I went to Fluttering Box, a Gangnam party room near Hakdong Station!

My criteria for picking a party room are

• The space has to be pretty
• The lighting has to be soft enough for good photos
• It has to work well for a group gathering, etc.

Pretty picky, honestly, but this place checked every box,,,🫶🏻

Where is Fluttering Box Daon and what does it cost?

Fluttering Box is on the 1st floor at 36-5 Nonhyeon-ro 150-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in a Nonhyeon-dong alley you can walk to from Hakdong Station. It's open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and the price listed on Naver Place is ₩30,000 for DAY TIME (6am–6pm) and ₩50,000 for NIGHT TIME (6pm–6am the next day).

There's a 'Fluttering Box' sign above the entrance on the 1st floor of the building, so just check the name before going in. Since it's within walking distance of Hakdong Station, it was also convenient for meeting up with friends coming from different places.

Once you go in, the owner gives you detailed instructions on how to use the space!

7 people, 3 hours and the cocktail-making set

There were 7 of us in total, and we used the cocktail set for 3 hours from 6pm to 9pm!

Unlike a typical party room, this place was so special because you can actually make your own cocktails inside the space following the recipe!

What does Fluttering Box Daon look like inside?

Inside, dark green walls blended with soft indirect lighting. Rather than a bright, airy studio-style party room, it felt more like a cozy lounge or cocktail bar.

With a big-group birthday party like ours, it can be hard to sit at one table in a restaurant and talk for a long time, but here we had a private room for up to 8 people, which made it really comfortable to run the gathering and hang out!

What comes in the cocktail-making set?

The cocktail-making set we used came with gin, orange juice, soda, sparkling water and other ingredients you'd use to make cocktails.

A cocktail shaker, a jigger for measuring, a long spoon and cups were also provided. Pretty legit, right? Hahahaha

The whole process of using the tools and following the recipe became something we could all enjoy together during the birthday party, so everyone seemed to have a great time. And such a detailed recipe on top of that! The perfect spot for a party‼️

We were truly ready to have a proper time! Hahaha. Who knew there was such a great-vibe cocktail party room in Gangnam...!

Playing the birthday song on the projector

Fluttering Box has a projector, so you can play whatever music you want or watch YouTube content together. Since it was my birthday party, I put on the birthday song and my friends sang for me and we all enjoyed the celebration together🔥

Gathering just close friends in a cozy, private space, eating good food and chatting comfortably was genuinely great! Inviting everyone you love for your birthday and meeting them all at once🤍

Food delivery and cleaning up before checkout

Fluttering Box also offers delivery, and when you leave, all you need to do is sort the trash into bags properly and wash the dishes — then you're done!✨
