It was about time for a hair appointment, so today I visited Beorn Hair in Cheongdam! My hair has been really frizzy and long lately and hard to manage. I badly needed a salon's help 🥹

Beorn Hair has two locations, Cheongdam and Apgujeong Rodeo, and I visited the Cheongdam branch today. The designers at Cheongdam all seemed to have their own distinct styles!👍

The salon was spacious and comfortable. There was especially a lot of waiting space ✨
There were comfortable chairs and cushions all set up! Outlets were also available to use.
Why a keratin clinic instead of a layered cut and perm?
At Beorn Hair Cheongdam, I worked with designer Yumin today. I came in planning on a layered cut with a perm, but after the 1:1 consultation, my mind changed!
This is the state of my hair! I only ever look at it from the front so I didn't realize how it actually looked, and it was frizzier than I expected. Of course I deliberately skipped the flat iron before coming in today so that made it look worse too.
She asked what I'd done to my ends, and kept asking if it was bleached! I've never bleached it, but I have dyed and permed it, and recently did a repair straightening treatment, yet she still felt it was quite damaged! I think it's from swimming a lot lately and skipping essence or treatment entirely...
She said that in this state, a perm might not turn out the way I wanted and I'd need to cut off a lot of length first. I considered cutting it, but it would have meant cutting more than I expected, so after some thought I decided on the clinic instead. This time I'll do the clinic, and next time, once my hair's grown out a bit, I'll try a layered cut with a C-curl perm :)
Inner keratin clinic price and the 40% first-visit discount
One advantage of Beorn Hair is a first-visit discount as high as 40%. I got the inner keratin clinic, which is normally ₩250,000 but with ₩100,000 off came to ₩150,000. Before the treatment, the designer explained the clinic to me in detail.
She said this works to seal up the split, damaged strands. Getting such a professional explanation beforehand made me trust the process.
What happens during the inner keratin clinic, step by step
Designer Yumin and a staff member worked together applying the clinic product to my hair! Both of them were kind, which was nice.
While waiting, I enjoyed some refreshments. Iced tea is the best! I was feeling a bit low on sugar, but eating yakgwa (honey cookie) and snacks with it gave me a good sugar boost.
They wrapped my hair and did a heat treatment! Since it was just one round of heat treatment today, they didn't blow-dry it separately afterward. They recommended avoiding heat styling tools for about a day!

After finishing the moisture supply, I went into the spa room where they did a scalp massage combined with the rinse!
The reclining chair had built-in massage function, so it was relaxing and really refreshing! It felt like thorough, attentive care.
Hair condition after the inner keratin clinic
Ta-da! By the end, my hair had shine and had calmed down a lot. Combing it had gotten difficult lately, and it felt back to normal — very satisfying! I plan to keep using treatment and essence consistently to maintain it going forward ㅠㅠ It was surprising that a clinic treatment alone could restore it this much!
