Pork galbi for three with free yukhoe and yukjeon in Yangju: Manpo

I went out to eat with family near Yangju and stumbled on a place that really, truly piles it on — Manpo Garden (만포가든) in Yangju.

Manpo Garden is a hand-cut Korean pork galbi and hanwoo (Korean beef) sirloin specialist right next to the Go-eup livestock cooperative's meat market in Yangju. We went for pork galbi, but it wasn't just a generous portion of meat — yukhoe (beef tartare), yukjeon (pan-fried beef), and both water and spicy naengmyeon (cold noodles) came out as free extras.

At first I figured the free items would just be a small taste, but as each dish was set down one by one, I was genuinely happy at how generous it was. I've been to more than a few barbecue restaurants in my time, and this is one I'd actively recommend if anyone's looking for a good spot in Yangju.

The restaurant itself is spacious too — wide table spacing, private rooms, and a pleasant view through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making it great for a family meal with kids or a larger group gathering.

What Manpo Garden looks like and how to get there

Manpo Garden is easy to find right next to the Yangju livestock cooperative's meat market! It's a standalone building, quite large, with big parking lots front and back, making it easy to visit.

Even the entrance door is quite flashy. As of 2026, they're open as usual during the Chuseok holiday, so anyone having a family meal over the holiday can stop by Manpo Garden.

There's a puffed-rice ice cream machine right at the entrance, which got me excited about dessert before we'd even eaten.

The floor-to-ceiling windows and big tables made for a bright, comfortable interior.

There were quite a few customers, but it never felt crowded — just open and airy.

They also have plenty of high chairs on hand, and lots of family groups dining together.

This is the table we sat at — genuinely huge and wide. They give you so many side dishes, and I was newly impressed at how the wide table still fit all of them.

Manpo Garden's menu and what comes free per person

Manpo Garden's signature dishes are hand-cut Korean pork galbi and hanwoo sirloin! We ordered 3 servings of the hand-cut galbi. Apparently 'manpo' (만포) means 'to give abundantly,' and true to that, they gave us one yukhoe, one yukjeon, and one self-made naengmyeon per person, all free.

A whole table full of side dishes — the yukjeon was also a pretty generous size.

The yukhoe came out beautifully arranged too. Every one of the other side dishes felt like it had been given real thought.

And here's the self-made naengmyeon — one free bowl per person! We got one spicy (bibim) and one water (mul) naengmyeon as our free servings.

Three servings of hand-cut pork galbi: how much meat and how it tastes

The 3-serving portion turned out to be quite large. Since this is a top-grade certified Korean pork restaurant that's gone through the livestock cooperative's traceability system, they use 100% real pork galbi, marinated with plenty of fruit for a flavor that's healthy and not overly aggressive.

The fully set table looked really impressive. Even the plates were custom-made to fit around the round grill, designed to make eating the side dishes easier.

Once all 3 servings were on the grill, it was completely full. Even excluding the weight of the bones, it was a substantial amount — noticeably more than what we usually eat as a family of four.

I became a master griller. It came out so nicely browned!! Not too sweet, just the right level of sweetness, and it paired perfectly with the self-made naengmyeon. I usually prefer eating grilled meat with rice and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), but here, eating it alongside the naengmyeon was so much better.

Even the finishing touches were perfect. Freshly made puffed rice with ice cream made the kids really happy. For the adults, they keep a fridge stocked full of ice cups so you can enjoy iced Americano — I left genuinely touched by how much this place gives.

Is Manpo Garden worth it for a family meal in Yangju?

What stuck with me most about this visit to Manpo Garden in Yangju was, above all, the generous spread. We ordered pork galbi and got yukhoe, yukjeon, water naengmyeon, and spicy naengmyeon all as free extras, plus a spacious, comfortable restaurant — I really loved the whole package. If you're looking for a great pork galbi restaurant in Yangju, or a spacious barbecue spot to bring the kids, I'd recommend Manpo Garden.
