Seocho burger restaurant with crispy eggplant fries: Daily Fix

In short

Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a handmade burger restaurant in Seocho, Seoul. My husband and I shared two bacon cheeseburgers, chicken wings, and fried eggplant with our two babies, and the fried eggplant stood out most. Verdict: Order burgers and several sides to share.

Record of a visit to Daily Fix Seocho Branch

Handmade burgers found on an outing in Seocho-dong

Daily Fix Seocho Branch, which I visited with my husband. Last weekend, my husband and I went on an outing in Seocho-dong.

Visiting Daily Fix in Seocho-dong

Daily Fix was somewhere I had wanted to try for ages after Kang Min-kyung named it as one of her favorite restaurants, so I finally got to visit.

I tend to make sure I get a good spread of sides whenever I eat burgers, so that day I indulged and ordered not only burgers but plenty of sides too.

As soon as we stepped inside, the relaxed atmosphere brought an American diner to mind. Even though it was a weekend evening, the place was fairly full.

Interior with an American diner atmosphere

Since my husband and I were with our two babies, we settled into the table furthest in the corner.

After some deliberation, we ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, along with fried eggplant and chicken wings on the side.

Bacon cheeseburgers and side dishes ordered

It was exactly the right combination for us, since we love having a satisfying burger each while sharing a few different sides.

The rich flavor of the bacon cheeseburger

The first thing we tried, of course, was the bacon cheeseburger.

When I bit into the golden-grilled bun, a little juice seeped from the thick patty. The salty bacon and savory cheese clung together, and the flavor became richer with every chew.

The patty itself had such a deep meaty aroma that it was beautifully balanced without relying heavily on sauce. The gentle smoky scent of the bacon brushed past my nose and kept making me want another bite.

One bite, then two, and before I knew it the plate was empty—the flavor was that good.

Crispy chicken wings and vegetable sticks

I have always had a particular soft spot for chicken wings sold at burger places.

Daily Fix chicken wings

These chicken wings were crispy on the outside while the meat stayed moist inside, with juices seeming to burst out every time I took a bite.

I especially love dipping the celery and carrot sticks that come alongside deeply into the sauce. The crunchy vegetables and rich, salty sauce cut through the heaviness and made for a combination I kept reaching for.

The fried eggplant that impressed me most

Personally, the dish that impressed me most was the fried eggplant.

The coating was thin and crisp, making a lovely crunch when I bit into it, while the eggplant inside retained its characteristic soft, moist flesh.

Fried eggplant with a crispy coating

Rather than having the heavy, oily taste typical of fried food, it left a light, clean finish. It was the kind of dish that never became tiring, no matter how much I ate.

Fried eggplant shared at the table

My husband even laughed and said that, when it came to this fried eggplant, he would not give up his share.

From the burgers' deep flavor to the polished sides, it was a meal without a single disappointing part.

Meal of burgers and side dishes

The side selection is especially substantial, so rather than ordering just one burger, I recommend getting a few things to share.
