Where to eat a diet meal near Gongdeok Station
I've been pretty diligent about my diet lately, so even eating out means being careful about menu choices. But eating salad every single time gets old — the dieter's fate is always searching for somewhere delicious that also has enough protein!!
Actually, I'd visited another Why Starve Diet branch before and remembered it being tasty. Then while out in Gongdeok, thinking 'I still need to eat clean today, but where?', I searched and found out there's a Why Starve Diet Gongdeok Main Branch?? Oh... the main branch!!! Let's go!!!!

It's totally great that the shop is in a building connected to Gongdeok Station Exit 2, so it was easy to find. If you drive, parking is available too, so accessibility is pretty good. Having the building connected made it super convenient.

The interior was comfortable enough to eat and go, making it great for solo dining too hahaha

Calories and protein listed on every Why Starve menu
At Why Starve Diet Gongdeok Main Branch, you can check the nutrition facts for each menu item, which is one of the reasons I like Why Starve.

These days I care less about food being just low-calorie and more about how much protein I'm actually eating. Being able to check calorie and protein content before choosing a menu makes managing my diet much easier. Especially for someone as protein-obsessed as me, this kind of nutrition label is a real welcome sight haha! You just decide at the kiosk and that's it!

Chicken cauliflower rice protein box: 303kcal, 45g protein
A protein box??? Just hearing the name gets me excited hahahaha

What I picked that day was the chicken cauliflower rice protein box (with salmon added).

After comparing the nutrition info of several menu items, I chose the one where the calories weren't too heavy but the protein content was the most appealing. I like spicy, so I picked sriracha mayo for the sauce.

The protein box I ordered was 303kcal with 45g of protein! Along with 150g of chicken breast, it had cauliflower rice, chickpeas, lettuce, green beans, broccoli, paprika, olives, and onion flakes.
I especially liked that it included various vegetables that are kind of a hassle to prep when making meals at home.

It was a solid combo when you want to get both protein and vegetables in one meal.

What cauliflower rice actually tastes like
Also, this was my first time trying cauliflower rice (콜리플라워라이스). I was honestly a bit nervous before eating it, but the texture was surprisingly similar to rice, which was a pleasant surprise.

I thought it'd be great for when you want to keep the feeling of eating rice while controlling your carb intake. Eating it with chicken breast and various vegetables gave plenty of fullness, and with the sriracha mayo it didn't taste bland at all despite being a diet meal.

Add-ons at Why Starve: 100g salmon steak and a protein cookie
But I couldn't stop there since I'm a total protein fiend... hahahahaha. I added a 100g salmon steak, and finally ordered a protein cookie too. With both chicken breast and salmon, it turned into a meal that properly covered my protein needs, and the salmon eaten with the vegetables was light yet delicious.

The protein cookie was also totally delicious. While dieting, I sometimes really crave a crunchy, sweet cookie ㅠㅠㅠㅠ, and this one wasn't too sweet while still giving that cookie feeling, so it'd be great as a snack.

Is Why Starve Diet Gongdeok worth a healthy meal stop?
Overall, this was a meal where I could eat deliciously while still getting my protein and vegetables in. If you're looking for somewhere to eat out while dieting near Gongdeok Station, or want to pick your menu by checking calorie and protein content, go check it out hahaha.
Since it's connected to Gongdeok Station Exit 2, it's convenient for office workers to visit for lunch or after work, and it'd also be nice for a couple who are both dieting to visit together and each pick what they want. If you're looking for a Gongdeok salad restaurant or a Gongdeok diet meal spot, it's worth a visit! Wrapping up today's meal deliciously and healthily~ haha
