Isu Station Korean BBQ with 2+1 highballs: Baekho Yangdaechang
In short
Baekho Yangdaechang is a charcoal-grilled beef offal (yangdaechang) restaurant in the Isu Station food alley in Dongjak, Seoul. On a Sunday at 6pm there was no wait, and the meal came to a mixed grill for two, yang fried rice for two and three highballs on the 2+1 deal, with staff brushing the offal in a house sauce and a hood that pulled away every bit of smoke. Baekho Yangdaechang is a solid pick when you want daechang with a highball near Isu Station.

Where is Baekho Yangdaechang near Isu Station, and what are the hours?
Baekho Yangdaechang is in the Isu Station food alley. Since Isu Station connects lines 4 and 7, it's super easy to reach from anywhere in Seoul haha. It's under a 5-minute walk from the station too, so it's great for meeting up with people.
Hours are daily from 4:00pm to midnight, no regular closed day. For holidays, they only close on Chuseok day!

They're running an event where you can get spicy sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) or crab-cheese egg roll with a Naver review receipt. If you're planning to visit, go for the review event. The hi-balls are also 2+1! Great for sharing between two, and even better with three.
I went on a Sunday at 6pm and got in with no wait! But since this is clearly a menu that goes perfectly with drinking, I imagine Fridays or Saturdays could get busy.

Baekho Yangdaechang menu: offal cuts and prices
Here's a photo of their signature mixed grill, fried rice, and gopchang.

They have intestine dishes that are all low-temperature aged for 48 hours.
- Daechang (large intestine) ₩15,900
- Teukyang (premium tripe) ₩17,900
- Gopchang (small intestine) ₩18,900
- Makchang (abomasum) ₩18,900
- Yeomtong (heart) ₩11,900

The gopchang hot pot also looked really popular!

Side dishes, tables and the charcoal grill setup
Since I'd reserved ahead, the side dishes were already set up when I arrived! Cucumber-peppers with ssamjang, chive salad, pickled onion and pepper, and kimchi. There were also small plates and a cheongyang pepper sauce. The peppers in the pickles here were satisfyingly spicy, so anyone sensitive to spice should be careful!

They seem to light the charcoal with a clean direct-fire charcoal machine!

The menu board — there were more items than I expected from outside! For the intestine tables, they had round tables and square tables, set up as 2-seat and 4-seat arrangements.

The 2+1 highball deal: three glasses for 16,000 won
The 2+1 hi-ball deal... I couldn't resist ordering it. Each glass is ₩8,000, so with the discount it's ₩16,000 for three. That comes out to almost ₩5,000 each, which felt like a really reasonable price.
There are three kinds of hi-ball: lemon, ginger ale, and earl grey. I had the lemon hi-ball, my friend had the earl grey, and we ordered another lemon for the third haha. The lemon was a refreshing classic hi-ball! The earl grey was a full-flavored hi-ball with black tea aroma.

What comes in the mixed grill for two, and how it tastes
The mixed grill for two that we ordered. The mixed grill is made up of teukyang, daechang, and makchang, minus the gopchang. I was a little disappointed there was no gopchang, but since the place is literally named Baekho Yangdaechang, I was most curious about this exact combo, so I went for it.

They also give you beef short rib (usamgyeop) as a default add-on!!

They started with the daechang first since it needs the longest time on the fire. So exciting. They grilled garlic and kkwari peppers alongside it too. Then they grilled the teukyang and makchang in order after that.

Ugh, doesn't this just look so good? They don't just grill the intestines plain — they're brushed with a special sauce, and it was honestly the best intestines I've had in a while, T_T.

The smoke-free hood and the free beef brisket
The usamgyeop also gets grilled over charcoal. The hood here is insane — it sucks up all the dust completely. Honestly the best hood I've ever seen in my life lol. Maybe that's why the whole restaurant was so comfortable with zero smoke, and I didn't even smell like smoke after eating there???

Dipping into the seasoned sauce.

They grilled the usamgyeop slice by slice too, so it really soaked in that smoky charcoal flavor 👍

Dipping the daechang too.

And the kkwari peppers too.

Finishing with yang fried rice for two at 11,900 won
Last up was the yang fried rice for two (₩11,900). I loved that you get one egg per person, and it came out as a soft-boiled egg that suited the fried rice perfectly. The crunchy kimchi, salty gim (seaweed) flakes, and nutty sesame oil went so well together in this fried rice!
I also added the sauce and peppers I'd been dipping the daechang in earlier to the fried rice, and it worked so well lol. It had that exact feeling of eating sauce with porridge after shabu-shabu! Feels like the perfect dish to finish off and cut through the greasiness.
Looking at the tables next to us, there were lots of groups of friends and couples out together — I'd definitely recommend this place when you're craving daechang near Isu Station haha.
