Siheung duck restaurant with sofa seats for a work dinner: Grill Duck

In short

Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue is a charcoal duck grill restaurant on Beoman-ro in Siheung, Gyeonggi, a 5-minute drive from Starfield Bucheon. Three diners arrived at 8pm on a weekday and ordered the half-and-half duck — 400g fresh duck plus 400g duck jjumulleok (marinated duck), 800g in all — grilling it on the table's charcoal and gas burners at the same time, then finishing with the complimentary duck soup and garlic chive fried rice. With a long sofa row in the back room, Grill Duck works well for a Bucheon or Siheung work dinner or group gathering.

Parking is available in a large lot behind the restaurant — there's plenty of dedicated parking, so I parked comfortably. I'd definitely recommend driving here! It's also just 5 minutes by car from Starfield Bucheon, so it's a great pick for anyone in the area haha.

Grill Duck's menu: one whole duck is 800g

Check the photo for the menu at Grill Duck, a duck restaurant near Starfield Bucheon! They have raw duck, duck jjumulleok (marinated duck), and duck bulgogi, and each order comes to 800g — the value is amazing. There's also a half-and-half option combining jjumulleok or bulgogi with raw duck, plus duck soup for a good body-boosting meal haha. Besides duck, there's pork belly barbecue, shoulder cut barbecue, and plain meat too, so I'd recommend mixing it up based on your taste. Side dishes include duck soup, duck rice bowl, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, garlic chive fried rice, udon, ramen noodle add-ons, and rice cake add-ons.

There are also various set menus haha — a half-duck jjumulleok set with two meals, and a half-duck jjumulleok with fried rice and a meal. There's also a hangari barbecue set with a full portion that includes shoulder cut, pork belly, and duck all together, plus aged kimchi and vegetables, so you can eat quite heartily haha.

Inside Grill Duck at 8pm on a weekday, and the sofa group seats

After ordering, we took a look around the inside — we visited around 8pm on a weekday so we could sit comfortably haha.

There's a straight sofa seating area toward the back, so I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a Bucheon company dinner or Siheung group gathering spot.

The interior was really clean and the tables were spaced widely apart, so the meal was comfortable — even in the sweltering summer heat, the AC was blasting, so it was great for grilling without feeling hot.

Side dishes and the self-serve bar at Grill Duck

They set up basic banchan (side dishes) by default — onion salad, garlic stems, wrap greens, and a chili soy sauce, along with garlic and ssamjang, are provided as standard, and it's convenient to use the self-serve bar for the rest haha.

The self-serve bar has cucumber peppers, various barbecue sauces, green onion kimchi, napa kimchi, and radish wraps ready to go, so I'd recommend grabbing extras haha.

We grabbed extra radish wraps and kimchi too, and they were delicious both plain and grilled haha.

Grilling the 800g half-and-half duck on charcoal and gas at once

There were three of us, and we ordered the half-and-half duck — 400g raw duck and 400g jjumulleok — and I loved that one side of the table was charcoal and the other was a gas stove, so we could grill both at the same time haha.

They put the jjumulleok on top like this and gave us two spatulas so we could cook it comfortably. I'd recommend flipping it often so the seasoning doesn't burn. Potato and rice cake sides came out too, and we threw in some garlic and grilled it all together haha.

The duck soup hot pot comes as a complimentary side, and the broth was so rich and clean that it was really delicious haha.

Once the charcoal grill plate heated up enough, they put the raw duck on too — the raw duck looked incredible, you could tell right away it was good quality, so I was really looking forward to it.

Watching the duck cook on both sides made me drool — even looking at it now, I want to eat it again.

How spicy is the jjumulleok, and how does the fresh duck taste?

The jjumulleok seasoning wasn't spicy at all, so even us spice wimps could enjoy it — it was tasty eaten plain, and also great wrapped up with the greens haha.

The raw duck was also really delicious — no gamey smell at all, and it was chewy and tasty. It was good with the salad and also great wrapped in the greens haha.

Finishing with garlic chive fried rice, coffee and hot chocolate

If you order the jjumulleok, you can also add fried rice — the visuals were incredible, it came topped generously with garlic chives and seaweed flakes, and the staff cooked it up for us right at the table so we could just relax and eat haha.

If you let it crisp up a bit like nurungji (scorched rice), it's even more delicious haha.

There's coffee, hot chocolate, and ice at the entrance too, so you can even round things off with dessert haha. If you're looking for a duck restaurant near Starfield Bucheon, why not give Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue a try?
