How big is the outdoor patio in Hapjeong?
A patio this spacious and pleasant in Hapjeong! I feel like I've been to Hapjeong 500 times already, but I never knew a place like this existed... Isn't this basically a BBQ yard in the middle of the city?! Just a heads up, patio use is limited to 2 hours!!
Coming from the bustling bar street of Hapjeong into this spot felt so peaceful... It's right next door — how can it feel so different? The breeze felt just right! It's not too loud, so it seems like a great spot for a date too!
Indoor seating and the 6-, 8- and 12-person private rooms
There are plenty of seats inside too, and the interior is spacious and comfortable. There are also 6-person, 8-person, and 12-person private rooms, so it seems great for staff dinners or group gatherings! Definitely reserve ahead of time!
Since the weather was so nice, I grabbed a spot on the patio. Ordering is done by placing your phone on the NFC machine on the table! What a convenient world we live in...

Here's Jeongyukdo's menu. They have beef and pork by cut, plus set menus. There are also budget-friendly lunch options! I went with the Korean pork specialty cuts set. Done.
The basic sauces and side dishes that come standard! Plus scallion salad and pickled onions. A place that gives you pink salt, whole grain mustard, and wasabi as a trio... they must know what they're doing.

The Korean pork specialty cuts set comes with galmaegisal (skirt meat), gabrisal (rib finger meat), and hangjeongsal (pork jowl). Ordering the set gets you a choice of meljeot anchovy dip in a stone pot or hanwoo beef doenjang stew! I picked the hanwoo doenjang stew!
Can you see how good the meat's color looks... They said they only use domestic Korean pork, and honestly the visuals confirmed it before I even took a bite. Doesn't it look amazing......... I can't hold back.
Along with the great-looking pork specialty cuts, they grill a whole king oyster mushroom too. The charcoal was just the right heat, so the meat cooked up fast! The fire stayed alive the whole time we were eating!!!!!

Which of the three pork cuts tasted best
Personally, hangjeongsal (pork jowl) was the best!! The juices were just bursting out, no gamey smell at all, an absolute winner of a cut...♡
Especially eaten together with the radish kimchi side dish, or topped with pickled chili peppers and salted squid, the meat just disappears endlessly, some kind of magic trick... The scallion salad was so good too, it never got boring!!!!!!
Adding a whole king oyster mushroom for 2,000 won
And here's an unexpected winner — you know how mushrooms are secretly the best part when eating grilled meat. The king oyster mushroom gets grilled whole and comes out juicy and tender... Mushroom add-on is also just ₩2,000!!!!! I felt like my stomach was going to burst, but this cleansed the palate perfectly.

Finishing off with a bowl of hearty hanwoo beef doenjang stew and rice, scarfing it all down, makes you feel like the most satisfied eater in the world today. Stomach absolutely bursting...
