Pocheon date-night restaurant for hanwoo striploin steak: Eoneu Dal

Hi, this is Yeolssimi. 📷 A while back my husband and I went on a date to Pocheon, Gyeonggi.

While looking up what to eat, I suddenly wanted steak and pasta, so we visited Eoneu Dal in Pocheon. 😊 We headed out excited. Here's my review of Eoneu Dal, a Pocheon restaurant.

What was the interior like at Eoneu Dal?

We put our name on the Catch Table waitlist inside and were shown to this waiting spot by a staff member. We arrived a bit after lunch hour and still waited a little before being seated. Reserving ahead seems like a good idea.

The interior of Eoneu Dal was pleasant and clean.

The inside had a bright, cheerful feel with clean white tones and flowers throughout. Great for dates, family gatherings, or any kind of get-together.

This space seemed to be for groups. It was a pretty spot — good for a private meal with several people.

There's a restroom inside. They also had baby chairs ready so you can dine with young children. If you're looking for a family-friendly restaurant in Pocheon, I'd recommend Eoneu Dal.

🌱What we ordered — Grade-1 hanwoo striploin steak ₩51,000, basil tomato pasta ₩20,000. That's what we went with.

For reference, the basil tomato pasta has a slightly spicy kick. Also, as noted on the menu, Eoneu Dal doesn't recommend one pasta per person. The portion is generous enough to share, and pairing it with a salad or steak makes for a better meal. Just so you know.

First, the pre-meal bread came out. It was salt bread, and it was delicious.

The basil tomato pasta we ordered arrived. As mentioned, the portion was generous. Good call ordering one pasta and one steak.

Oh, the basil tomato pasta was delicious! The sauce was spicy in a way that paired well with the steak too (not painfully spicy, just a nice kick). For reference, Eoneu Dal makes its basil tomato pasta sauce in-house. Most of all, there was so much ground beef. Eating it together with the mozzarella cheese made the spicy flavor even better.

Grade-1 hanwoo striploin steak, dry-aged

Let's dig into the grade-1 hanwoo striploin steak (the prime-grade striploin was sold out). Dry-aged striploin from hanwoo female cattle — I was excited.

Wow, the steak was so good. 🫶🏻 The meat melted in my mouth. So tender. Great quality and cooked just right.

The vegetables served alongside the steak were also cooked just right, every single one. The mashed potatoes especially were the best (I wanted to just eat it with a spoon).

Dipping the mashed potatoes generously in wholegrain mustard was pure honey 👏🏻

Also tried a bite dipped in salt. It was so good, you really should try it with salt too!!

Wrapping up

Eoneu Dal had great atmosphere and great food. I highly recommend ordering the pasta and the steak together. We both ate really well. 😉 The portions were generous, so we left full.

I'd also recommend it as a family dining spot in Pocheon. Next time I'll have to visit with my kid too. After eating, we headed to Gomori Reservoir near Eoneu Dal!
