In short

Eoneu Dal is an Italian restaurant in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, serving pasta and pilaf. We visited with the kids for garlic shrimp pasta, beef tomato pasta, and cheese pilaf, and loved the generous portions and thoughtful family-friendly service. Over the weekend, I took the kids on a fun drive to Pocheon for a little fresh air. After all, food comes before sightseeing, right? Once we had played our hearts out, our stomachs were growling fiercely 🤭 So I searched like crazy for somewhere to go and heard there was a Pocheon Art Valley restaurant getting serious word-of-mouth buzz lately. I turned the car around without hesitation and headed over!

How did we join the Eoneu Dal waiting list?

Waiting-list tip! A Catch Table reservation is not optional—it’s essential!

We arrived around 1:30 p.m. on a weekend. Wow, I thought the lunch rush had just passed, but people were packed in right from the entrance. It really was one of those places people line up to eat at!

If you’re visiting on a weekend, don’t just wait in front of the restaurant—definitely put your name down in advance through the Catch Table app. We were in a rush and hadn’t booked through the app, so as soon as we arrived, we joined the queue on Catch Table 😆

After about 20 minutes of comfortably looking around the area, we zipped right in. Don’t forget that Catch Table app tip!

I couldn’t stop gasping the moment I walked in—the atmosphere was unreal

When our turn came and we stepped inside, my jaw genuinely dropped 🥹✨️ The overall interior was white and clean, with lovely floral decorations throughout adding a special touch. It was pure Instagram-worthy atmosphere.

Warm sunlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows that filled one wall, and I felt happy and relaxed before we had even started eating. It has that warm brunch feel in the daytime, but in the evening it would be perfect for a romantic glass of wine—such a great date spot for couples too 👍

Thoughtful touches for families with children

Thoughtful, heartwarming consideration for families dining with children

Once seated, we could conveniently order at the table by QR code. I loved being able to browse and choose without studying a menu and calling over a staff member.

And here came a touching moment! When they saw we were dining with children, they thoughtfully brought children’s tableware first. The regular water comes in an elegant glass bottle, but they cleverly switched ours to a stainless-steel water jug 😁 They had considered in advance that the kids might knock over and break the glass bottle, haha. The children also received plastic cups instead of glass ones ✨️

This kind of small but heartfelt kindness completely melts a mom’s heart 😭 Even the water was refreshing, infused with lemon and dill, so my first impression was a perfect 100 out of 100!

Generous dishes arrived after the flame show

In the open kitchen visible beyond our table, the chef was cooking with a dazzling flame show! Watching all that smoky flavor go in had me swallowing hard, and soon our dishes arrived 👏 I had sensed it from a quick glance at the next table, but even the plate sizes here are no joke.

At a stylish restaurant, isn’t it a little sad when three forkfuls of pasta are all you get? Hahaha. But there’s a reason Eoneu Dal is known as a Pocheon Art Valley favorite. They use basic ingredients generously, so the portions were truly abundant!

Garlic shrimp pasta: minari meets aglio e olio

First up was Eoneu Dal’s signature garlic shrimp pasta! It was lightly spicy, with garlic umami bursting through, but the real twist was a bed of fresh minari (water celery) tucked underneath the pasta.

Eating this aglio e olio-style pasta with a little minari cut through all the richness and filled my mouth with such a fresh fragrance—it instantly became one of my all-time pasta favorites 🥹👍 There were plenty of mushrooms, zucchini, and plump shrimp too, so I piled them onto the bread and scraped up every last bit of sauce, haha.

Beef tomato pasta with toppings the kids loved

For the kids, we ordered the beef tomato pasta with the option to request it non-spicy. It arrived topped with moist, medium-rare beef, and wrapping the noodles around the meat made the juices and tomato sauce taste incredible together 👍

The sauce itself was packed with minced meat, so it was delicious spooned onto bread. My kids even ended up eating the sauce by itself with a spoon! This was a dish that completely won over their taste buds.

Cheese pilaf with basil pesto

Lastly, we ordered the cheese pilaf for the kids, and the bottom was lightly toasted, giving it a fragrant texture like scorched rice while the inside stayed moist.

Basil pesto and cheese came on one side of the plate, and adding a little to the pilaf brought out unbelievable flavor 😳 My husband, who normally has absolutely no attachment to basil pesto, took one bite and said, “Wow, basil pesto can taste this good?” Then he ate it with more excitement than anyone, hahaha. It was the ultimate pilaf, perfectly winning over the whole family!

A place I want to revisit for family meals and gatherings

200% return-visit intention! I want to keep it to myself, but it’s already so famous

The interior was so pretty and clean, and with high chairs and children’s tableware well prepared, I couldn’t think of a better place for a family meal.

There was also a tucked-away partitioned area on one side of the restaurant for private group gatherings. It would be wonderful for bringing my parents later or using as a gathering spot. This is absolutely the first place I want to put on my list of Pocheon restaurant recommendations.

As we finished and walked out, my daughter must have loved how pretty the restaurant was and how delicious the pasta was—she even pinky-promised that we would come back soon, haha. With value, atmosphere, flavor, and kindness all covered, Eoneu Dal is a Pocheon restaurant recommendation with nothing missing! If you’re taking a trip to Pocheon or craving delicious Italian food, be sure to stop by. It’s the kind of unforgettable restaurant you absolutely won’t regret visiting!
