Songpa Korean BBQ for group dinners: Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch

In short

Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch is a spacious Korean barbecue restaurant in Songpa, Seoul. I grilled lamb ribs and kkodeulsal with salt, cumin sauce, and wasabi, then paired them with sea snail soybean paste stew and spicy buckwheat noodles. Verdict: a great pick for a group meal with parking and a private room.

There are parking lots at the front and back. It looked like they could fit at least eight cars, so driving here should be convenient.

The restaurant is very spacious. There were plenty of group tables, and even the four-person tables had lots of room.

There are lots of seats that work well for eight people, and there is a sink at the end for washing your hands. I love thoughtful details like this :) Overall, it has a clean Korean barbecue restaurant interior.

This is a space that can hold 25 people! It is a separate private room. Since there is a dedicated room, it looks great for company dinners and group gatherings~

I guess lots of celebrities come here. There were so many photos everywhere! It really seemed like a popular Bangi Station barbecue spot haha.

This is the sauce for dipping the kkodeulsal, and it was seriously delicious once it had been simmered!!

Bokbunja highball and meat table setting

My husband ordered a bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) highball for the first time in a while haha. It was ₩8,000, and he said it was delicious~ This is how the full meat spread looked. The side dishes were such a good selection and went together beautifully!

First up, we grilled and gobbled up the lamb ribs. They give you green onions, and grilling them together is so delicious.

Every so often, a big burst of smoke rises up, but that is the joy of charcoal-grilled meat~ It really boosted the flavor, and it was so, so good.

The first bite was with salt, the second with cumin sauce, and the third with wasabi. Maybe because the Australian lamb ribs were in such great condition... every way was delicious ㅠㅠㅠ It just melts in your mouth~

My husband grilled the meat so well, so I got to eat comfortably haha. Just looking at that color, doesn't it look incredibly tasty?

Chewy kkodeulsal and side dishes

This time, it is kkodeulsal. It looks springy and chewy even in the photos. This, this was totally my style... so springy and chewy, and so delicious.

Chewy grilled kkodeulsal

Even when cut, it had such a lovely color, and the meat was wonderfully firm and springy. The kkodeulsal was really the standout—it was so delicious!!!!!

Sea snail soybean paste stew and rice

Sea snail soybean paste stew with rice was ₩6,000. I loved that rice comes with the stew, and it had plenty of sea snails, vegetables, and tofu!

Since it was soybean paste stew without meat, it was actually nice and clean-tasting. The rice was better than expected too, and it went well with the stew.

Dip it deeply into that sauce and eat it with the green onions—the combination was so good.

Spicy buckwheat noodles were ₩10,000. It was such a refreshing combination. The lettuce, cucumber, and seasoning went together so well! It was exactly the right finishing bowl of noodles. The pairing with the meat was the best!
