Yongin sundaeguk restaurant with head-meat and extra broth: Yennal

This is a sundaeguk (pork blood sausage soup) place at Yongin Central Market that I go to whenever I have time! It's our little one's favorite dish, so we end up here a lot. We went on a weekend and there was a line, as always, but it was worth it — so good. There are a lot of chain branches around, but this one really does feel like... you know, the original flagship location.

Where is Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk in Yongin Central Market, and where do you park?

We parked at Yongin Central Market Public Parking Lot 1. Easy to park, and it's free for about an hour and a half, so I've never actually paid a parking fee — but honestly the layout of that lot is a bit... weird from the ground up haha. Still, spots open up quickly enough if you wait.

It's located inside the market with a line out front, so it's easy to find, and since it overlapped with the five-day market, there were even more people than usual.

What the inside of the restaurant is like

The inside of Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Yongin Main Branch isn't huge. But there are plenty of staff and it's kept clean and comfortable. The restroom is right next door.

The menu and what we ordered

Here's the menu board. Lots of options. We ordered two of the head-meat-only dish, and my husband got the large size, so we ate plenty.

There were also various chapssal sundae (glutinous rice blood sausage) and regular sundae options.

How the head-meat sundaeguk and the large size taste

Once we sat down, side dishes like these got set out, and if you need more you can grab extras from the self-serve bar.

This one's the bowl we ordered for our little one, made without any vegetables at all. Wonder when this picky-about-vegetables phase will end.

This one's mine! It doesn't look that different from the large size, but the bowl itself is a bit bigger so it feels more generously filled.

The real key point of Yongin Gyeongseong Sundaeguk is the ground sesame — or is it perilla? — powder mixed in. That's the game changer. It makes the broth so nutty and rich!

The bowl was really packed with ingredients too. Different kinds of meat go in, and you can choose to your taste — meat only, mixed with sundae, and so on.

Topping it with what looked like freshly made kimchi made it even tastier~!

My husband usually only eats the meat, but this time he ordered the version with sundae mixed in too, and it was nutty and delicious, blood-sausage style.

So I stole two pieces total. Stolen food really does taste better. Since people were waiting at this Yongin Central Market favorite, we ate a bit quickly.

Even the large size wasn't quite enough for my husband, so he asked for more broth. They kindly brought over extra broth and it was even better with it. I was full with just one bowl.

Is Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk okay with a child?

Oh, and here's a nice touch — since we came with a kid, they gave us a ladle, scissors, and a small plate to portion food out, all without asking. So convenient. Thank you~

As expected, since our little one loves sundaeguk, she downed one bowl and asked for more. Maybe it's because the broth at this Yongin Central Market favorite — the one with the wait — is that good, but she really eats it all up.
